Pros – Lots of responsibility, exposure to a broad range of clients within healthcare, ability to contribute,
Cons – No formal mentoring, lack of any qualified middle managers, "up or out" culture without prestige or compensation benefits, very narrow focus on reimbursement, operating the reimbursement hotline, minimal employee benefits, low compensation, very cheap in general, lack of resources.
Advice to Senior Management – Take advantage of the undergraduate talent and don't relegate them to answering phone calls. Develop a formal employee development program. You're not a top 5 consulting firm, don't treat your employees like one.
