Advice to Senior Management
they cant help Qwest, it tends to follow Indian IT culture and eventually its gonna be a Patni or 3I infotech or SPI.
Pros
Qwest has a Good work environment, is quickly expanding, fully owned subsidiary so no concept of benches / no work etc.
Cons
Well quick expansion means dilution of talent. Hierarchy created at will ill defined promotion policies. Very few things beyond infrastructure for work.
Advice to Senior Management
The leadership at qwest it seems is going towards a Bozo Explosion .. one Bozo hiring several other bozo's leading to the Kaboom.
Pros
Balance btw personal life and professional life no weekend work
Cons
no growth opportunity for exp people.
Management is not accessable
Advice to Senior Management
company growth is depend upon exp people not on fresher
Pros
Good remuneration (can improve though)
Good people
Work Life Balance
A few good Team Leads
Onsite Opportunities
Cons
Legacy Technologies - The work isn't upto the benchmark which the industry would have.
Management and Transparency - Manipulation of data occurs most of the time though supported as true by the organization.
Attitude towards employees
New Hires - not upto mark
PEMS - Weird and vague explanations behind career growth, promotions, etc.
Advice to Senior Management
Just be transparent to the employees and care for them. Attrition of employees who have been around for a while is pretty high, which implies that something has gone wrong in the way the organization handles itself. Further, new hires are not upto mark. Most importantly, fetch work in good technologies so that people end up learning.
Overhaul of the PEMS is needed. Meritocracy needs to be supported rather than arbitrary conditions.
