Pros
1) Challenging work environment. Projects are of high quality.
2) Respectful management team.
3) Recognition of good and hard work.
Cons
1) High work pressure.
2) Bad work-life balance. At times, the conference calls with onshore team members are scheduled so late in the night that it is not possible to attend those.
Pros
A very good work life balance.
Good learning chances on own.
Good place for fresher, good learning chances for them.
Can expect a good salary.
Good chances for onsite, if you are performing good in your project.
Cons
No downside I have felt.
Not so good projects for experience guy.
Can not expect a rapid growth even if you are doing great, has to have wait for their turn.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should convey the feedback back to employee, so that they can be self motivated all time.
Management should consider for their mate who works greatly.
Pros
technology is always changing and challenging
Cons
Qwest no longer exists. CenturyLink will be internally focused and in a state of confussion for the foreseable future.
Pros
Qwest has great management. Management has a "hands off" approach but at the same time make themselves available. People are very friendly and welcoming.
Cons
One downside is that we had to report to the office everyday. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.
Advice to Senior Management
Just continue to put the workers first. Listen to the feedback of the workers in ways that could help make the workplace a better environment. Allow workers to work from home from time to time just because.
Pros
Work Life balance.
Flexibility depending on the project.
Fair Pay.
Good Environment.
Not much pressure.
Very friendly company.
Smart People can grow easily.
Cons
Lack of process.
Not much importance given to work.
Lethargic attitude in employees
Office timing.
Late night meetings.
Work Pressure in some projects.
Advice to Senior Management
Process needs to be improved. Standards needs to be improved. More analysts are required. Work from home options should be provided and encouraged.
Pros
Pay and benefits OK, above average.
Cons
Constant lay off. You never know if you have job from one day to the next. I am always watching my Back. Trust no one!
Advice to Senior Management
Morale is as low as I have ever seen it. Stop with the lays offs and fix your business model.
Pros
Flexible timings and less work pressure.
Cons
More of support rather than development work.
Pros
lots of different types of work to do, easy to transfer internally, benefits pretty good with wireless and other. Flexibility work schedules
Cons
Not alot of competence on the leadership front. For the past 3 years really hasn't been a vision and direction.
Pros
Good compensation, great benefits, exceptional time off, (formerly) nice location of HQ, professional co-workers, large company, generous stock options
Cons
Continuous right sizing due to steady shrinkage of customer base, dying industry, acquired by amateurs, constant regulatory target
Advice to Senior Management
Buy Sprint
Pros
I have the ability to telecommute at will.
Cons
Promotions, salary freeze for past 2 years, 24-hr shop means working all day and then monitoring offshore people at night, lots of weekend work.
