    Great Stepping Stone

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSmall portfolio, premium brands, few innovations (no constant flavors added on)

ConsMinimal employee grooming/training, disorganized marketing programs, frequent price increases

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend more time working with your employees to teach them skills so they can be ready for the next position.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Just hard work and dedication alone won't cut it

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsVacation, holidays, summer fridays and office hours. Overall benefits.

ConsTypes of people at Remy. Blame culture and silos. Politics often involved. To garner any favors or progress, much politiking and kissing up to senior positions is required.

Has potential but no growth opportunities

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prossecure job, no much hassle from management, no complaints there

Consno upward mobility or opportunities for growth. Pay isn't exceptional and your hard-work isn't recognized. All you tend to hear all the complaints but never the praises.

Premium company that demands a great deal, and rewards for their expectations.

    Field Makerer (Former Employee)

ProsGlobal brands, entrepreneurial to an extent. travel, and field input on brand strategy

Constoo many administrative tasks, older, system moves slower than I would have liked on implementing new tactics and styles.

Advice to Senior ManagementGreat Management! Continue to look to the field for solutions.

Good company, good benefits, great portfolio of brands,

Marketing (Former Employee) New York, NY

    ProsNice people in general
    Good benefits
    Great line of products
    Flexible schedule
    Free samples of products
Good workshops that talk about the brands

    ConsHard to advance in career
Like to hire people from the outside instead of from within
Hire rate of turnover for employees
No real vision for marketing of brands except just doing the same thing every year
HQ in France make final calls and they don't understand US market
People tend to stick to their own team or department so you can go years without ever talking to people who sit 10 feet from you
Love to spend money on ridiculous things but not stuff that will help brands/teams
Occasionally have to deal with people with egos
Have to sit through long meetings that go no where and just waste time
Work can be repetative and very boring at times

Advice to Senior ManagementAdvance people from within so there isn't always months wasted waiting for some new hire to catch up and understand the business

Emotional, tactical; no vision, no empowerment, no growth opportunities

Mid-Level Manager (Former Employee) New City, NY

Prossocial atmosphere, friendly employees, free product samples

ConsDifficult management team to work with

Advice to Senior ManagementTell French to back off, since Americans know the market.

Great company to work for if you are a workaholic. Beautiful portfolio of products and high profile/ "image" positions.

Brand (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsMost of the people who work here are good, hard working people with positive attitudes. The products are amazing and practically sell themselves. The salary is comparable to similar companies in each position. Home office is in Rockefeller Center in NYC, an amazing location to work in.

ConsUsually a high turnover, so job security is sometimes a concern even if you work overtime and go above and beyond. Some management teams are poorly organised, however many are on point and productive. Communication between departments is sometimes askew

Advice to Senior ManagementMore communication between brands and departments would benefit morale. A little more leniency with the high expectations of working overtime would also boost morale, as well as praise or accolades for a job well done from VPs and Department Directors, rather than solely criticism and reprimand.

    Disgrace!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

    ProsFree high end booze

I can't think of any thing really positive that sticks in my mind. Management is a joke.

ConsManagement has no interpersonal or communication skills. There is no employee satisfaction whatsoever. All they want is your assignment completed. They couldn't give two craps about your personal life. Oh, did I mention that they provide no guidance or support in completing your assignments. All they do is give you the work, stick you in the corner and forget about you. I only gave a "one" because it was the lowest score but it's not indicative of how I feel about that entity. If I could give a lower score I would

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you don't become realistic in yur expectations and start treating your employees like human beings instead of robots, you will have an extremely high turnover rate

    Would Not Recommend

Finance (Current Employee) New York, NY

    Pros- Reputable brand
    - Free booze
    - Casual work environment

    Cons- No respect from management
    - No career growth for advancement

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a look around and see why people leave - offer advancement/growth opportunities. Be more respectful and think about what the little people do at the bottom to help you out.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
