    Pros

If you are looking for stability then this is the place for you. Many people have been in their current jobs for over 5 years. Great employee purchase program.

    Cons

Poor inter-department communication. Difficult to advance into upper-management. The benefits have been thinning out over the last 10 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More advancement opportunities.

    Pros

If working Sunday's is an issue for you this place is closed on Sunday. So there is a little of a work life balance. Company is concerned for customers and finding best merchandise to suit their needs

    Cons

Promotion Opportunity Limited. Unless you want to Live in Utah and you are an active participant of the majority belief system there. Health Benefits are not the best. Only have high deductible plans so make unaffordable for lower wage earners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotion opportunity needs to be less discriminatory.

    Pros

Well respected by community. Good sales managers and corporate values. Somewhat flexible schedule. Potential to earn a high income.

    Cons

Overstaffed sales floor that leads to a lot of competition and conflict. Declining commissions and sales incentives. Declining sales demand and pricing power because of the internet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come up with new ideas on sales discounts, especially to better compete with National accounts in appliances.

I have been working at R.C. Willey part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work here is the obvious difficulty of the job. It's pretty easy, fun, and you feel productive. There aren't too many barriers to working here and everyone seems pretty chill and relaxed.

    Cons

Minus a few managers. There are a few things that bother me. The management drags their feet about everything. While the employees try to get ahead of the customer to meet needs, management can be seen as that lazy employee who just gets frustrated whenever someone tells them to do something. Crap hours, but its retail so... not much to gripe there honestly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop bending to the whim of Salt Lake. Everything RC Willey does is emulate Salt Lake. They could be in Dubai and if walked into an RC Willey in Dubai, it would feel like Salt Lake.
