    I worked at R&R Partners full-time

    Pros

Fun people fun accounts to work on fun activities great benefits and premier agency in Las Vegas. Never bored. Good perks.

    Cons

Advancement due to time at company rather than skill. Were understaffed on some accounts which meant really long hours at times. Pay more! Try to keep the good employees, turnover was very high.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on skill. Otherwise great company they make you feel like you matter. Sometimes they promise too much to clients.

    Pros

R&R practices what they preach when it comes to family/ life balance. For the most part, you'll also be surrounded by some very nice people and have the opportunity to work on an iconic brand.

    Cons

Some of the outer offices have never really found their stride and some are struggling to stay alive. Without a doubt, the real career opportunities are on the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors account if you're willing to live in Las Vegas. Avoid the LA office unless you're looking for an internship.

Good work/life balance, but low morale

I worked at R&R Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work / Life balance, although there are still plenty of people there after 5pm. The Vegas office also starts earlier than the L.A. office. Laid back culture, drinking at work Speakers and celebrities come in and talk to the employees Get to work and collaborate with some really awesome, smart, friendly people Really good PTO and holidays R&R is a company that respects the individual and lets people be themselves Awesome Christmas party and other parties held throughout the year

    Cons

Some really clueless and gullible senior management High turnover, even for an agency Yearly reviews mean nothing. You can get an amazing review, but there will be no raise or promotion No defined career path Low salary and poor medical plan The politics and egos are just ridiculous and hinder projects and collaboration The Gossip train is insane. There are no secrets. The Council is just a talking shop that does nothing of substance for the employees Some people don't know their job role, i.e. account executives trying to be art directors Titles that make no sense There are some great projects to work on, but most of the work is just boring, low level stuff. Some people can get away with doing nothing, while others are overwhelmed with work A lack of diversity in management

    Advice to Management

When I first started at R&R, I had the worse manager I've ever had in my entire career. Incredibly, this person got promoted, but that was a good thing for our department. However, when you put clueless, dishonest and highly political narcissists in management roles, you really damage morale and only contribute to turnover. You need to stop listening to the people who sound awesome, talk a good game, but deliver little. Judge people on what they've actually done, instead of what they say they can do. A few have been found out, but there are still some there that have the ear of upper management.

    Pros

Lenient rules and working conditions; good people to work with; casual atmosphere; good clients and fun to do work for them.

    Cons

I got the feeling that management consisted of small-town personalities trying to emulate Big City mentalities. And failing. Low pay, long hours, salary increases are almost non-existent. Clique-ish. Very. They allow experienced prrofessionals to leave the company and replace them with youth that hasn't a clue to what the business is all about. Management is more concerned with their bottom-line and expanding offices than they are about taking care of the good people they have.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the basics and stop trying to be what you're not. Appreciate the good people you do have and do everything you can to keep them from leaving.

    Pros

Paid okay. They like to throw parties. Culture speaks to work/life balance.

    Cons

Not a lot of respect for the employees. Long hours unless you are in the Vegas office and then there is not one after 5pm. They think parties fix morale rather than getting to the root of the problem - bad management. They like to make up job titles that have no baring on the job or life after R&R.

    Advice to Management

Think long term and stop living off "What Happens in Vegas..." campaign.

    Pros

They seem to have a good work/life balance and the people are exciting to work with. Work hard, play hard.

    Cons

In some of the branch offices they are still struggling to find the right leadership to help distinguish them from the headquarters in Vegas.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget about the people that helped form your branch offices, be sure and take care of them.

    Pros

Great culture. Embraces core values of work/family balance. The company's motto is "Work hard, play hard" and that is true.

    Cons

Management and company direction is constantly evolving Pay is fair when compared to the cost of living in Las Vegas.

I have been working at R&R Partners full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The culture, also known at the R&R Way, can be fun. Work-life balance is epic; the place is deserted at 5 PM every day, and much of the months of July and December. This may not be a plus for everyone, but the frequent jokes about drinking in the workplace are rooted in truth.

    Cons

Low/stagnant pay, deteriorating benefits, uneven/mediocre management, nepotism.

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring and promoting former cheerleaders and jocks, and instead recognize people who know what they're doing.
