I worked at RB as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Even though Reckitt Benckiser is a consumer goods corporation, it acts fast, has flat hierarchies and direct communication. It's a place where ownership is highly valued. -->Learn fast. Career boost.
Employees get trainings & team building workshops
In Germany there are not too many employees, so it is a familiar atmosphere. New employees are introduced & integrated.
Cons – In Germany it is located in Mannheim, a city that is not nice to work in. Employees commute from Frankfurt.
It is very Sales driven, with more short than longterm & consumer oriented planning /strategy. Perhaps this is due to the history that started not with personal care products, but detergents, which are still the power products of Reckitt today. This is not negative, but just to differentiate it from a company like Beiersdorf known for more longterm consumer focussed (market research) strategies.
High fluctuation of employees (pro and con)
Tough climate in some teams, but you learn how to push harder for results.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at RB full-time for more than 5 years
Pros – - International Environment
- good bonus package
Cons – - no work-life balance
- unrealistic expectations from Senior Management
- no humanity
- working hours (I remember lots of days where I worked more than 12 hours / day)
- high pressure
- burn-out syndrom will definetely hit you as it hit lots of employees I worked with
- nobody cares about the employee itself
- by the end of the day it doesn't make sense to work for RB even if they pay you a couple of million Euros
Advice to Senior Management – CHANGE THE COMPANY CULTURE AND DO NOT FORGET THAT WE ARE HUMAN AND NOT ANIMALS
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
