    Pros

Great Pay at senior level, and used to provide lot of authority and decision making power for the businesses you lead

    Cons

It has been a serious politics place, with lot of power games among the management even impacting the people and business decisions lately

    Advice to Management

Go back to the old RB spirit

    Pros

Industry-leading packages available. If you can stick it & get results, you can quickly increase your salary.

    Cons

No work-life balance or cross-functional teamwork. Internal battle-ground Results first, people last. Lot of unhappy people in Slough. Boys-club in Sales & SLT. Poor decision-making. Lack of fact-based discussions. Don't expect acknowledgement, recognition or a thank you.

I worked at RB part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, if you are in the right location (Slough head office) you can do well for yourself- regardless of talent.- Though you will have to work very hard for your money, and the company is a bit 'tight' with regards to budgets/ travel etc.

    Cons

Lack of investment in people; the HR function is under - resourced, and investment in people is limited. Culture is spoken about from the top, but not lived in the organisation, other than as a way to motivate people to do more with less. can be brutal, and uncaring about people. Not very supportive of work/life balance. Senior Managers do not 'walk the talk' and are replaced frequently.

    Advice to Management

Invest in rolling out a consistent understanding and application of culture to all employees- strengthening managers skills in this, and addressing the 'blame culture' and profit at all costs. Employees are people with lives.

  7. Very fast paced but not taking risks can be frustrating

    Pros

For some individuals your career can advance very quickly e.g. become an director from associate to director within 4 years. Very fast paced, never need to worry there wont be enough work to do

    Cons

RB often likes to think they take business risks but the reality is that most senior management are very much non risk takers. The fast pace can often lead to repeat of work and inefficient processes being kept as there is no time to make changes due to extreme tight deadlines for project outputs.

    Advice to Management

Develop more of your internal talent rather than always relying on external candidates and start taking more risks rather than talking about it only!

    Cons
