    Pros

Many have worked at RBC for over 25 years. Small and trying to catchup to other I-Banks so pockets of entrepreneurialism still exist. Can make an imprint in areas and product groups that still need development.

    Cons

I agree with the prior posts about senior management and promotions for multiple roles globally going to Canadians as well as the notable gender bias presented under the veneer of 'RBC nice'.

    Advice to Management

Hire and promote outside of the usual group of execs. Truly embrace diversity in practice including leaders from other nations and cultures.

    Pros

Good benefits and training on systems.

    Cons

Underpaid in comparison to similar jobs. Management is useless and often unavailable. Management often plays "favorites". No room to grow. Am interviewing and am fun find other firms are paying 12-15% higher. After 9 years, it's time to move on.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites with certain employees, treat people more respectfully, keep your home life and moodiness out of the work place and overall, BE MORE PROFESSIONAL.

    Pros

Plenty of resources to do your job. Benefits were good when I was there and there is plenty of quality individuals within the organization.

    Cons

The compensations system for my area was a bit of a black box. I had a very hard time figuring out what I felt the correct compensation was based on my production.

    Advice to Management

Set clear compensation guidelines for employees who are in risk positions. That might have changed since I left.

    Cons

    -Not the biggest/best deals
    -Prestige is not great
-Many full-time analysts were trying to leave

    Advice to Management

    Highly interactive
