Cons – low salary- I am making 32,000 dollars and I cannot live on that.

Cons – little space to be promoted

Pros – - Great people in the organization
- Decent benefits package
- Good name to have on the resume
- Great opportunity to network outside the organization

Cons – - Can be a very high stress environment, especially if you do equity/fixed income trading.
FYI YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TRADING ERRORS YOU INCUR, so be very careful or you could be stuck with a multi-million dollar loss (RBC will give you a loan to pay the amount back) and out of a job.
- Won't pay for any training except the most basic courses (CSC & CPH)
- Managers (branch or senior) are nice people but don't care about the associates or admin, they just care about the advisors.
- Technology is absolutely pathetic "new" lenovo computers that are as basic and cheap as you can find (and lock up and freeze all the time) with 15'' screens running XP and 2003 word....

Advice to Senior Management – Do a real tech upgrade & show a little love and care to the rest of the branch staff, not just the advisors.

Pros – good stable company,however, prone to be very cost conscious and conservative

Cons – very little growth opportunity outside canada

Pros – All the managers are helpful and always there to support and advise you! The work environment is friendly and even as a new comer, I felt at home almost as soon as I started there!

Cons – The only one con I could see was, the roles for interns are slightly trivial. They still do get to learn a lot, but not there isn't as much of a formal training as I would have hoped.

Advice to Senior Management – I think you guys are doing a great job! Continue nurturing the careers of incoming employees the way you have been thus far. I love the environment you foster at your workplace, and the office is stunning!
