I have been working at RBS Citizens full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Salary is excellent with decent benefits. Very good products and services to offer your clients and prospects. Especially if your clients/prospects need FX as we offer a dedicated department of professionals that will get the job done and at a savings for both time and money.

    Cons

Too many lists of un-scrubbed prospect calls to make. Reporting sys poor and chasing credit is a nightmare. Lack of colleagues respect for portfolios which makes it confusing for the client to know who to call when they need something.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retail needs to play nicer with business and commercial banking and respect the portfolios and not actively call on these customers as it confuses the clients and makes managing our clients more difficult than it should be. The constant closing of accounts and opening new ones is out of hand and is mainly a result of branches calling on portfolios that they should not. Looking up officer codes is really easy and this nonsense can easily be avoided. I am disappointed that we have let this retail vs business side of the house get so disconnected. Please fix so we can continue working for a company that has all the right stuff to be the best bank for clients and colleagues.

I have been working at RBS Citizens for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good Benefits (even cutting out certain benefits they still have decent benefits)
    Flexible about working from home

    Cons

Compensation - too worried about IPO and hitting targeted bottom line
Work-life-balance - depends on department. Some people leave on time but others in the back office are there late
Senior Management - IPO is number one priority - does not want to spend money to improve

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While hitting the numbers is important it's also important to appreciate the employees who work hard to meet those numbers. Increasing workload, decreasing manpower and cutting out raises, promotions is not the way to show your employees you appreciate their hard work.
