I have been working at RBS Citizens

    Pros

Team approach with a lot of coaching and opportunity for success for the self motivated and team oriented.

    Cons

Dedication and performance of some of the previous employees and partners wasn't as team based or as motivated as the new philosophy and need for success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't allow an individual to have the opportunity to control the outcome of a team approach goal.

    Pros

Decent hours, a great team environment.

    Cons

Does not compensate for amount of work and level responsibility. No job security - remote management cuts positions with little knowledge of the needs of the business and employee roles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees fairly. Take the time to understand current roles, the requirements of the positions and level of responsibility before under compensating and cutting positions.

    Pros

Excellent PTO structure. Senior management has great goals and outlook for the company.

    Cons

Poor communication between various departments. Takes a long time to implement change. Not employee satisfaction focused. Pay is less than average compared to work load. Required to learn new skills without being compensated for learning them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your employees happy. Happy employees equals better production and customer satisfaction. Give better yearly increases and incentives. Develop a job position catered to efficient communication between all departments.

    Pros

Great place to work, weekly pay, great training with mentors after training is over.good people to work with.

    Cons

Laid off whole processing department after only 6 months of hire. promised severance pay amount then took half of it after I was released.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More room to complete work...bigger cubicles. it was very uncomfortable having a small desk with over forty files to work on and no place to spread them out or to put them. I had to use the floor.

    Pros

Your work-life balance and colleges are unmatched.

    Cons

Always reducing benefits " to better align with competitors".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employee appreciation events where the employees don't have to pay to attend would be nice. A financial institution should be able to show it's appreciation with anything other than pizza. Also, executive emails are always passed down stating " reduction in time off policy, sick time, 401k being adjusted to better align with competitors" when all employees do on a daily basis is explain to clients and non-clients how much better we are than the competition. Shouldn't companies follow the leaders of benefits like Starbucks,Google etc? Not regress.
