Pros
Fair compensation. The view from the offices aren't bad either.
Cons
Poor communication of product deliverables at planning stages result in moving goalposts all through production. Lack of proper planning time for productions result in high production staff turnover (as a function of aforementioned moving goalposts). Little to no accountability across the board. No fortitude when dealing with bad clients.
Advice to Senior Management
1. Learn to fire, or not pursue "vanity" clients. Find people and projects that can be profitable no matter where they are sold.
2. Hold your staff accountable. If they say one thing, then do another, fire them.
3. Stand up for your employees and contractors. Do not throw them under the bus after you've hired them.
4. Take your management team members to a team building seminar, then give them the tools to build good teams (i.e. - good information - not recycled, half applicable old production manuals).
5. Your core business encompasses efficient production of media. You must hire people who don't just understand the process, but can lead it. Micro focus in a macro process is a great hindrance.
