Current Employee – been working at RE/MAX full-time for more than a year
Pros – Work from Home Office, ability to network . Great program for office conversions looking to grow their business after challenging real estate market. Tools and services are great!
Cons – Micro-management, Regional Directors have zero franchise sales backgrounds, lack of consistancy - Most Franchise owners do not see value in brand in some markets. To much turnover sets a tone of fear and doesnt create a positive working enviroment.
Advice to Senior Management – Team work with regular communication of company goals, highlight ones hard work other than rotate sales people and placing unattainable results - Manage to peoples weakness and collectively come up with successful coaching, to much politics for real estate.
– I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at RE/MAX full-time for more than a year
Pros – pay, workplace environment, supportive colleagues and a general feeling of support. I found that working here there was a fun atmosphere which fostered productivity.
Cons – At the time I was there, you had to work in a job one full year before moving to another position. Frustrating when you saw a perfect job within the company but weren't allowed to apply.

Former Employee – worked at RE/MAX as an intern for less than a year
Pros – You learn about the true state of the real estate industry
You can venture into various markets and really excel in areas once you learn and study them
Cons – It is all commission based, so if you dont think outside of the box, you will not excel
Like many jobs, you get better with experience. There are certain aspects that can only be learned via trial and error
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure all agents go through and know about all the training courses that are offered.

Current Employee – been working at RE/MAX
Pros – Rules are easy to follow and fair and management does not play favorites. A full time staff with expertise in transaction coordination, accounting, art and ad design, advertising and full time in house technical support. The company owner and two full time managers are almost always on site and have an open door policy. All the latest tech with a completely wireless office, personal space on the company's protected hard drives, all systems are smart phone, pad and pc friendly. Paperless document storage with the ability to produce forms and have them electronically signed and stored. You then have access to any document you have ever generated any time you want it via a smart phone, pad or pc! At the end of every fiscal year the company owner holds a meeting open to all employees. He shows us the budget for the past year and where we came in over or under budget. He then lays out the planned budget for the next fiscal year with changes based on last year’s numbers and the upcoming year’s market predictions. The transparency from the top down is very impressive. There are many community service projects that you can volunteer for through the company. The owner runs this business not like a real estate sales office, but rather a real estate agent services center. They become successful by helping you become successful. It’s a fabulous business model! Very friendly and interactive office email system with great peer support in problem solving.
Cons – All that help doesn't come cheap. It is one of if not the most expensive places to work in terms of fees, but you get what you pay for and then some. Sometimes the cool aid does flowith over and the intra office email gets jammed up with non work realated chatter.
Advice to Senior Management – Appreciate your efforts in getting us the latest tech at the best negotiated prices and you pass the saving on to us, the agents. Parking spaces could be a little wider. A vending machine with soda and water on the first floor would be nice since the conference rooms and customer waiting area are on that floor.

Current Employee – been working at RE/MAX
Pros – Great brand name and history provides a good background story to support the agents. Unlimited income potential only hindered by the economy. Can work independently without constant supervision.
Cons – It would be better with more corporate and local owner support for agents during the slower economic times that would allow agents to continue to grow.
Advice to Senior Management – Create a positive workplace atmosphere by providing more support for agents through local marketing programs and solutions on an agent level perspective.
