Pros
Co-workers and store management are decent to be around. It probably is one of the better retail store environments and cultures to work in. Seems to have a respectful relationship between store management and employees overall. Good attitude with everyone and colleagues overall.
Cons
The employee discounts on gear is tempting, but if you're part time, you're usually too poor even for those :)
Advice to Senior Management
Stay true to REI's mission and values. Don't dilute the brand. Keep it a top notch place for people to get outdoor gear, skills, and advice.

“good perks, but only worth it if you have a 'real job' and work at REI part time for the gear discounts.”
