I have been working at RGIS part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Busy work and some good clients to work with.

    Cons

Unstable ability to manage employees and run an honest business using integrity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow the rules. Do what is right the first time. Use common sence. Your employees are not robots.

I have been working at RGIS

    Pros

You get to travel o different cities and work with new people or people you haven't seen in a while. They pay is OK, could be better. It was better a few years ago.

    Cons

Management is very unorganized when it comes to having vehicles ready for us to leave the meet site and when it comes to scheduling people to work. They have certain people pull doubles while others sit at home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Schedule better, organize better, communicate better!!!

I have been working at RGIS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

If you let them know when you are available (mornings or nights) they will accommodate you. You get your schedule approximately 2 weeks in advance so you can let them know what days you're scheduled for that you can do and which ones you need removed from your schedule. You can get pay increases fairly quickly (I've gone up $3/hour in just 3 months) depending on your quickness and efficiency. IF the particular location is an hour or more from the office, you have an option to carpool and you get paid minimum wage for drive time.

    Cons

Early morning hours can mean very early (sometimes 4 a.m.). You have to drive to each location yourself, so gas money can get out of control.

    Pros

Flexible hours. Pay is more than minimum wage

    Cons

Hours aren't steady. Pay doesn't compare to the work you do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

9+ hours and no break can really take a toll on your employees

I have been working at RGIS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

RGIS has a lot of perks. Base pay starts at 9/hr, but that could go up if you count quickly. They are very flexible and you can tell them that you can't make an event if they schedule you for one you can't/don't want to go to.

    Cons

Every event starts either early in the morning or starts in the evening and goes late, often until past midnight. Also, there is quite a bit of driving involved. Often events are 45 min away, though if farther than 1 hr, than everyone meets at the office and uses company cars to get to the event. It can be a little nerve racking to have to count a certain number of pieces per hour, but ultimately I suppose there has to be some floor for the speed at which an auditor has to count otherwise inventories would take forever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management does a pretty good job, I was surprised at the how nice they were. Obviously, there are always certain individuals that just rub you the wrong way, but nothing too aggravating.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, sometimes challenging, (if you like a challenge),

    Cons

Usually, the schedule is too flexible. Sometimes early mornings, sometimes late nights, sometimes both in the same day. Can be very physically demanding due to limited breaks. Too much favoritism and unfairness. Pay is not great so there is a very high turn over leaving those of us with any amount of work ethics to pick up the slack and often times going to inventory events with less than enough people to pull it off in a timely manner. The way the pay raises work is based on a very unfair system.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Absolutely change the way pay raises work. And make the starting pay higher. This will lower your turnover rate. And absolutely stop with the favoritism. You lose too many good, talented people due to the favoritism and low pay. You also wind up with a lot of sub par employees when you hire people at $8.00 an hour, employees that don't stay more than a few days to a month at the most.

I worked at RGIS full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, most people you work with are nice.

    Cons

very late hours if you work night or very early hours if you work morning. Pay scale is unfair. If you do a favor for management then you might as well sign a death wish because the favors with zero appreciation will never stop.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Salary based on the level of speed is totally ridiculous. As a supervisor I saw that the only people in many different districts that I visited, the only people capable of hitting "Top Gun" were the ones that were batching and not counting at 100% accuracy. This includes Home depots and especially Dollar Trees. The amount of dishonesty that is forced to put forth to reach an unattainable goal by normal means was what forced me to quit and never look back. I loved working for RGIS before they had started that salary policy.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

flexible schedule and some nice people

    Cons

take the worst from any job and you will probably find it here. there is notorious favoritism, ridiculously short or excessively long hours. They tell you not to expect to pay your bills with this job from day one and they mean it. You can expect a job to last anywhere from three hours on but sometimes less. people often don't show up so those who do, pay for it in making up the work.

it doesn't take long to see that the majority of workers can't do better so they stick with it but don't know better anyway.

If you are educated, have good standards and can get a job anywhere else, do yourself a favor and do something else instead

do not tell them you drive or you'll drive 50 miles for two hours of minimum wages

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

set high standards and require them or continue to make excuses that you really want to create a better work environment that you really know will never happen.

good people don't stay with you FOR A REASON
