I have been working at RGIS full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Being a manager the only pro is you dont have to use your own car to do all the driving that is expected of you.

    Cons

Managers dont get paid near enough for the amount of work they are expected to do, if you are interested in management with this company, I'd think again. The pay is horrible, and you're expected to not have a life outside of work. you're expected to work pretty much 24/7, and be lucky if you get one day off a week. You also never have time to spend with family. Definitely not worth all the stress and hours that managers put into this job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the upper management, care more about your area managers, don't overwork them.

I worked at RGIS part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very simple hiring process. Most of the people there are from low income families with the occasional working high school or college student so most of the employees are humbled and nice.

    Cons

The culture there is very high-stress with most of the managers continuously pushing you to have a count-speed above reality and they love to pervade this notion that if you are below this you will be let go. The reality is the place is too much of a revolving door as it is and they don't fire the people (like myself) who are below their imaginary line. What really got to me in the end and ultimately made me quit was the 50 to 70 year old employees who were pushing themselves extremely hard to keep their numbers up from this stress created by the management. The ironic thing is the only people who move up in the company and the ones with the least amount of stress are the ones who simply don't check their work. Doing a recount is extremely costly to how your performance is rated and there's absolutely nothing stopping you from just not checking that your counts are right. These people go on to get promoted then do their best to subtly encourage their staff to do the same. Also hours can be EXTREMELY difficult to work with. I worked a job starting at 11pm one night and mid-day the following day. Overnight work is very common since that's when stores are usually closed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have some human compassion. This company incentivizes a working culture that shortens peoples life-spans and it's frankly disgusting.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Never in the same place. Get to travel.

    Cons

The pay sucks for the amount of work effort you have to put forth. You don't get paid for travel if it's within the district. So, basically if you have a job 40 minutes away from home and the job is less than 2 hrs long, you didn't even make enough to compensate the gas money you used to get there. A 2nd job is definitely needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

STOP PLAYING FAVORITES WITH THE APH's! Giving the easy counts to people just so they can keep up their numbers is bull. Not cool! Knock it off and do your job as it is set forth by the company.

I worked at RGIS part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good Service for Retailers' who need a physical inventory of both the store floor and rear warehouse.

    Cons

RGIS was slapped with a class action law suite (FSLIA Violations) and participants in the class action suite ALONG WITH complaints shown in this following. It seems management has not learned anything from their pass awarded judgment. The new owners Blackstone Investments need to be looking into what is happening with this investment company and taken action with upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce the number managers in the field. Company is over burden with field supervisors or district managers who do not know how to handle people. Pay your field Auditors an equitable rate of pay To much emphasis put of speed and not accuracy. More and better training. improve LABOR HOURS AND WORK.

I have been working at RGIS

    Pros

I like that RGIS is not your typical 9 to 5 shift and also the fact that work is anything but straining or complicated they can literally train monkeys to do that type of work. You always work with different ppl because so many come and go. There usually always work available despite it not being your typical job stores are always calling to have their merchandise inventoried. Pay is pretty decent considering the ease of the work. It was $9 but now I believe they raised it to $9.50 you can also increase your pay by improving your performance moving up is fairly easy as long as your responsible and punctual. The supervisors are pretty nice but you always a few who act like massholes but that's at every job im sure.

    Cons

The bad part is sometimes you may not have stores for weeks OR you may only have certain stores and they only last 2 hours. Some store maybe far and are not worth the gas or mileage. The only time they drive you is if the store is not within a 30 mile radius of your assigned office. So if the store is 25 miles away you have to drive and you may only be there for 2hrs. :/ They can be very strict if you miss more than one store so always let them know in advance if you cant make it. But if they send the schedule out late it maybe hard to do so. Also the hours can be dreadful if you work mornings you may have to be at a store 3 or 4am and if you work nights you have to be at a store from 11pm to 5am sometimes even 7am. And God forbid you have a store the next day in the morning or night.

I have worked here for almost 3 years and get overtime more weeks than not.
Every 7 weeks you are eligible for pay raise.

    Cons

    Lots of night shifts.
Many Travel stores, often over 100 miles....but paid travel after an hour in van.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication among mangers.
    More extensive training for new-hires.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

When there's work, you work. As long as you have a flexible schedule and don't mind waking up at the crack of dawn, you will get hours. There is potential to advance. If you ask, and management thinks you have potential, they will work with you.

    Cons

Be prepared to find another part time job when slow season comes or if you don't have a really flexible schedule because if you're depending on the money from this job, you will be disappointed. If you have a flexible schedule, they will put you on doubles (morning, nights) which can wreck havoc with your sleep cycle and any plans you might have.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

A great benefit is a flexible schedule. This has helped me out many times. It is pretty easy to get a promotion as long as you work hard. Major values for the company are accuracy, speed, and service.

    Cons

Once you get a promotion (raise) it can be taken away within a day if you don't keep your APH up. The work is flexible, but when you tell management you can not work specific times, they will schedule you and you need to find someone to work for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Main thing is, if you say something that will help your team, please stay with it.
