One of the best and most satisfying jobs I have ever had

Consultant (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I have been working at RGP as a contractor for more than a year

ProsLeadership and a culture that cares about the success of its consultants and their clients; Work-life balance; Selection of exciting opportunities; Benefits; Being able to make a difference every single day

ConsPotential down-time between assignments although management knows that they could not otherwise keep top-rated consultants if they did not have ready assignments for them. Do your best and the work will come to you!

Advice to Senior ManagementWith increase in consulting in addition to interim staffing, need to work with clients to understand cost differential in two types of roles.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Big on vision, short on execution

Consultant (Current Employee)

I have been working at RGP as a contractor for more than a year

ProsEntrepreneurial environment, supportive employee culture.

ConsThe company is trying to branch out with their consultation delivery model into new markets, such as Information Management, conflict minerals, and other areas. Historically, RGP has positioned itself well as a staffing firm in these areas, but has not yet invested the right amount of effort, money or focus to ascend into the highly competitive consultative arena. Investment in building these "new" areas for the company is weak and cautious - the general consensus is to first make money in a new field, then invest. Cart is before the horse, limiting options for consultants on the bench and missing opportunities for sorely needed revenue growth for middle management. Result: word on the street is the Big Four firms are eating our lunch.

Advice to Senior ManagementEither consider investing in the market development you wish to grow, or hobble it and remain on a flat growth curve. Net net we will get what we pay for. The stock price reflects this reality, and as of the last earnings call shareholders are clearly getting bored, and lack significant interest in the future of the company. This should be a wake up call.

ProsThe opportunity is good and everyone is very professional.

So far so good

Consultant (Current Employee)
Denver, CO

I have been working at RGP full-time for more than a year

ProsDecent pay & benefits. Ability to get overtime and earn PTO with some holiday pay. Client Service Director tries to keep in touch by coming up to the client site and taking us out to lunch at least once a month.

ConsNot always knowing how long the current project will last, when the next project will be and how long bench time will be.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your current consultants and make sure they continue to get work.

Good consulting firm for the Fortune 100

Associate (Current Employee)

I have been working at RGP for more than 5 years

ProsClient base primarily in the Fortune 100, mid level accounting positions. Good benefits, high quality consultants

ConsIf you're looking for higher level projects, this might not be the place for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore investment in business development, not just maintenance of existing client base.
