I have been working at RNDC Texas

    Pros

Not having a boss on your back 24/7

    Cons

Work/life balance, there is absolutely no free time for yourself or family. 4 months out of the year are blacked out for vacation. Incentives are a joke, same with insurance. Even if you hit your numbers for you to make money your entire team has to hit theirs as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that your employees have a life outside of work and don't need to spend 7 days a week selling juice in a bottle.

    I worked at RNDC Texas

    Pros

    Salary
    You make your own schedule
    Free booze

    Cons

Taxing on your car (car allowance is a joke) driving up to 100 miles a day
Capped bonuses (if they ever hit the goals)
No incentive to go above and beyond
Cell phone allowance is a joke
Hard to advance unless your related to someone
Yearly salary "increase" is only pennies

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop playing golf and help your team in the market to hit numbers and pay hard
    Loyal workers better

    I worked at RNDC Texas

    Pros

Some very good people to work with and learn from. It appears they tend to leave after a few years. I recommend the position so you can can get it done and over with.

    Cons

Almost always felt like I was selling widgets. Which is necessary for this type of distributor. Not much passion for the underdogs in the portfolio.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you started in sales, remember where you started. If you started in Management, walk in a salesperson shoes for a week with a bag on your shoulder.

PUTTING PAY CAPS ON LONG TIME EMPLOYEES FORCES THEM TO LEAVE

    Pros

Good company and benefits package. Seems to be growing in a positive direction.

    Cons

Hiring in experience management, instituting pay scales on long time employees and letting them know they will not receive even cost of living increases, puts a real damper in employee moral.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you have an employee that has mastered a job, do not tell them by pay scales that they are not worth anything more than what they are now. When you have part of your machine that works perfectly why make it leave and put a inexperience and unproven piece in that place especially when it effects profitability. Please remove the pay scale policy where you refuse to give any cost of living or merit increases to employees who reach the top of the scale.

    Pros

You have some economic stability in this field. The company does promote from within. Does a lot to help educate employees on promotions.

    Cons

People have no work life balance in this company. There is an abuse of the commission system by working people way too long and stretching employees thin and not compensating them fairly. The whole company at retail level needs a serious change in culture. They just do not understand how to think long term in the way they conduct their business.
