Former Employee – worked at RSA Security for more than 3 years
Pros – People are very nice for most part, kind and considerate, there's an on premise cafeteria which has relatively decent food, there's also a decent gym. Fantastic work life balance, let you work from home and it's up to the manager to figure out how much and how often. They can be quite generous with that.
Cons – They have not invested in new equipment in probably 20 years, the chairs are all falling apart and you'll either end up with carpal tunnel or back problems. Some, not all, managers are just atrocious. The company does not hold on to talent very well at all. In the past year they've allowed some very important and looked up to people to leave the company. This is a lot of knowledge and company spirit lost that I'm not sure RSA can afford to lose right now.
Advice to Senior Management – Flatten the organization, don't be so hierarchical. Top management is extremely unapproachable and frequently jokes about (serious) issues or concerns people bring up during Townhall meetings.
Art, the CEO is awesome, really funny and quite charming, but unless you're reporting to him you won't be seeing much of him.

Current Employee – been working at RSA Security full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Good benefits
Many good people
Free coffee!
Cons – Cash cow is dying
Development is lost, several rounds of management changes have not fixed this
Culture has reverted to that of a big old slow company, no innovation
It took a while, but the EMC acquisition has finally brought the company to it's knees
Rounds of layoffs happening quietly
Advice to Senior Management – Pick a plan for the future, communicate and execute.
Be in a position to FUND the above plan and be prepared for setbacks
Invest in the remaining high performers, build confidence for the future

Former Employee – worked at RSA Security full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great, nice, smart people to work with. Has feeling of operating mostly separate from EMC mothership.
Cons – Too much politics in management. Frequent management turnover, leads to frequent strategy changes.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop churning through management so frequently and develop a strategy at a higher higher for products/portfolio and stick with it.

Current Employee – been working at RSA Security full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Cutting Edge technology company.
Flexibility with working hours/location.
Great pay, benefits, and career opportunities.
Cons – As with any major company....financial focus.
I think keep perspective here. Most work places are made by the immediate boss. My boss is great, but i see some that are not.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue the great communication.
Stop cutting expenses and asking employees to do their jobs with half of the normal resources for half the year.

Pros – The people are the biggest pro here. They are smart and creative and a pleasure to be around. Then there's also the little benefits that come along such as the ice cream trucks with free ice cream for all, the pizza lunches and get-togethers. As for the overall benefits package, it is not great but it is good. There are a lot of little extras, though.
Plus, there is the company's "personality." It is green and inclusive oriented. Definately has views that I can get behind.
Cons – The one con is that the company could/should spend more of the income to beef up the staff to support the demands that the product has created. Even though we are not required to work overtime to get everything doen, it is still stressful knowing that there is work left on the table every day.
