    Pros

If you're interested in learning, taking a leadership role, product design, then RSG provides an unparalleled opportunity for career growth. You must be proactive and energetic to take advantage of these opportunities.

    Cons

Some of the developers are "order takers" rather than "order makers." It would be better if everyone were to work as a team rather than the client / customer type relationships that exist.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to convey achievable strategic goals throughout the company so there's a common motivation and focus.

    Pros

There are avenues for upward mobility -- they tend to promote from within.

    Cons

Software Engineers have to deal with that managerial compulsion to offshore dev work.

    Advice to Management

Sure you can guys in India to work for cents on the dollar; but you'll get what you pay for -- the best software engineering minds are right here in the US; this is the primary reason RSG couldn't make a dent in the digital media space.

    Pros

RSG is a small size company. I worked @ RSG for more than 3 years. Being a small company you get a lot of visibility. More work Satisfaction. Better Appraisals.

    Cons

Being a small company, Under performers are fired too quickly. One has to be in a positive limelight to leave a impression and enjoy the benefis.

    Advice to Management

There is less stress on processes, standards. Due to this there is lot of rework on technical side and there is lot of pressure in product development team. Most of the management team is untrained in managing people and projects.

  11. Incompetent management driven by loyalist mindset

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

    Media domain niche, industry relationships

    Cons

Highly incompetent management, privately controlled by an individual who does whatever he wants to like a king surrounded by his loyal deputies who are either too incompetent to move somewhere else at the same salary level or who don't care except the monthly paycheck. Cronyism, lack of integrity are rampant. Trust and respect is lacking in the culture. It's a sweat shop which is dilapidated and will close down in a short time as there is no publicly known exit or succession plan. The setup is similar to the small time single proprietor driven restaurants or small time fashion houses with very rich owner and overworked staff. Avoid this place at any cost for your career and your business...

    Advice to Management

    Plan an exit strategy
