A Really Great Place to Work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsI've enjoyed my time with RVM and I'm glad that I decided to work here. The owners of RVM have a real interest in their employees. They take time to get to know their employees and treat them like family. It's very common for the owners to walk through the office saying good morning to employees.

During my time with RVM, I've seen a lot of positive changes go into effect. The owners listen to their employees and work toward changing the way things were done. They are willing to make hard decisions that will lead to a better work environment.

Every month the company celebrates employees birthdays, welcomes new employees and celebrates changes in employee lives. Every Monday, breakfast is provided.

Employees do work hard but the experience they gain is definitely worth it.

ConsAs with most companies, we can always use more time off.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue listening to your employees and implementing their ideas. Involving employees will create loyalty. Most employees like the company and are willing to help take it to the next level.

They never got the memo that women can do more than just TYPE said memo.

Project Manager - Litigation Support/E-discovery (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThere is an opportunity to gain marketable knowledge and experience IF you are self motivated and befriend the right people.

ConsThis is not a great environment for women hoping to advance their careers. The females in the organization are routinely overlooked for promotions, raises, and are fired at a disproportionate rate. Don't be surprised if you hold a law degree, are licensed, and yet relegated to nothing more than a "glorified-gal-Friday!" And if you expect management/HR to have your back...good luck entering the "frat-house!"

Advice to Senior ManagementYou're missing out on a great pool of aptitude because of the blind-eye you've turned to the value added by talented individuals, who just so happened to be women, simply because they are women. Shame on you RVM!

Place where you can learn, but have to be quick and move

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsTremendous opportunities to learn. Meet great people
Make sure you learn as much as you can quickly tho and start finding your real job immediately.
    Benefits are not bad

ConsBonus structure is really awkward! you're told bi-annual bonus from 1 to 4 weeks of your salary each time. No way you can get 4 weeks of salary bonus except maybe few out of 100+ employees. If you do your job just described in your job description, don't expect bonus. According to management team, the bonus is something you get when you go beyond your normal responsibility. WAT?? Wasn't told when I was hired tho. hm

Don't expect your personal life with family.
