    ProsDecent hours, pretty low stress, good experience for someone looking to go into banking or finance, met with other interns across California 3 times throughout the summer. Travel all paid for.

    Great benefits but very "corporate".

    ConsAfter the banking collapse at the end of 2008, Rabobank N.A. became very "corporate" and cut throat.

    Great Company

    ProsI was fortunate to work with great people who I learned a lot from and was able to grow professionally. The company has great benefits and they are a large and stable bank. I enjoyed getting involved in the local community representing them.

    The talent level varies across groups and it seems to be a slower move up the ladder if you're not Dutch

    Pros-Friendly and professional environment
    -Strong credit culture and conservative environment, not likely to blow up
    -Focus on growing and sustainable businesses - food, agriculture, renewables

    Cons-My group works long hours 60+/week for not much bonus
    -Dutch colleagues from the home country tend to get more promotions
    -I feel like there is deadweight in the company

    Advice to Senior Management-Promote people more based on a meritocracy
    -Pay people a competitive amount
    -Committ to initiatives you set out to achieve
