Lack of formal, efficient training has contributed to a less than desirable support structure.

ProsFriendly people. Casual, somewhat laid back atmosphere. Opportunities to rise above the average employee. The company is growing, which is a positive in many ways, but not in others.

ConsGrowth has not be matched in scale across the various pillars which are the reason for the growth. The morale one of the major support teams is a constant battle to maintain as the demand for output is high. The proverbial positive harvest in terms of dollars and company, financial goals don't appear to match the weight of work load on this support group.

Advice to Senior Management"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Collaborate with those who wish to actively contribute in a positive, constructive fashion in order to create a solid, effective, efficient means by which to train the support staff.

Not a terrible place, could be better

ProsTime off is good, not tons of overtime is required. Direct management is willing to be flexible with work schedule. Some working from home is allowed.

ConsSalary is low after working there for many years, but that may be common for other places as well too.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep your employees up to market on their salaries, even if they have been with the company for years. Deadlines should have developer input before being set.

Never boring
Most ideas are considered
Management tries to fit the best person for the job when promoting

ConsThe downside of the above happens when you get a little seniority and the guy who just stepped in the door is promoted ahead of you.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe a little more transparent in your promotions.
How are employees supposed to know what to strive for if we don't know why people are chosen for projects, promotions, etc

ProsPositive work atmosphere, Comfortable office space, Large and diverse list of clients across many industries, Strong atmosphere of teamwork across all depts

ConsThere can be a measurable amount of travel expected if you are in client facing positions. There are team members that must work together that aren't always centrally located in one industry's office.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure you live your ideal of being a great company to work for above all.
