    Pros

Getting hired should be easy, nobody is applying. l

    Cons

Employees work way to hard to only make minimum wage. If management gave you the latest technology to sell and paid decent commissions, maybe they wouldn't be in the condition they are today, dying.

    Advice to Management

Bring back the original management who knew how to make the company successful and profitable

    Pros

The people i worked with in all 3 of the store i worked at were great. You have a base pay and commission even though the commission isn't as great as say verizon, sprint, or any other carrier store it was nice to have. I love technology and helping customers find what they need. If you had a busy store it was great.

    Cons

The company is not bankrupt . Most stores are really slow, out of the 3 stores i worked at 2 were god awfully slow, and with a commission base pay that really sucks. Upper management was horrible. They were overly critical, and useless if you needed help. We would never have the products that we needed. There was a lot of pressure to reach your sales goals and there were over 6 categories of sales.

    Advice to Management

The District managers needed to help the stores more. We would see them around once every 2-3 months. Last that i heard they got rid of the DMs. They were useless anyways.

    Pros

    Laid back, efficient manager
Easy once you learn about all the products in the store

    Cons

As with all retail jobs some customers suck. But this is especially true with all the snobs who live in Boulder.
Not much pay for how much they expect you to do/know.

    Advice to Management

Change the pay structure and you will get more qualified people to actually try to sell

    Pros

Great experience, good discount, opens you up to vast types of electronics. I learned a plehora of valuable information there.

    Cons

Very high SM and above turn over, "new revised" commission structure was a joke, very questionable leadership decisions regarding new processes, new product and new store layout designs. Seemed to be a huge waste of money.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees!

    Pros

Radioshack had good pay in hourly and commission. As the year went on it only got better, until their end. Didn't care if you collect overtime!

    Cons

Company in general over worked everyone. Upper management was clueless to the errors from districts to store level.

    Advice to Management

Stop being lazy! Hire good employees and treat them well. There is a high turnover but the ratio will never change between good and bad employees if you don't keep the sharks happy.

    Pros

I loved my coworkers to an extent. For the most part, everyone was awesome and smart and knew how retail worked. The employee discount you got for items were pretty decent as well.

    Cons

Upper management sucked. My district manager acted as a tyrant and as if we were his subordinates. He would talked to us as if we were children and not as adults. It was horrible. They don't do a thorough background check and they don't do drug testing, which is a huge turn off for me. They never have the items customers want the most in stock. My store was out of stock for chromecasts for 3+ months and still didn't have any when I left. Do yourself a favor and avoid applying here at all cost.

    Advice to Management

Employee's that have been let go have not received their severance checks and you're paying celebrities to sponsor your store? You have posters saying you're hiring when you let go of THOUSANDS of people? You guys really need to check yourselves. The company doesn't have much time to live, especially at the rate it's going right now.
