    Pros

Niche market serving nonprofits as clients CEO is generally accessible, his background is impressive and he's not afraid to implement innovative ideas Great "first job" Convenient office location

    Cons

High turnover, often with no acknowledgement or explanation. Auditors often burned out. Office culture is virtually non existent and the majority of employees lack personality. Upward mobility is limited. Company tries to sell you on their commitment to charity and volunteering during orientation, but I saw next to none of this during my time, so beware of smoke and mirrors across the board.

    Pros

They can be very cooperative with each other, they push for effective progress. Mostly good people like most places.

    Cons

They are a bit clueless technically but try to address it with outside consultants. The web consultant is moody and harsh.

    Advice to Management

Get a new web support person and go easier on your people. You have some good people there who are trying very hard to do good work.

  6. Unethical company

I have been working at Raffa

    Pros

    Good learning experience and training

    Cons

Raffa is unethical towards it's clients, employees, and other firms. Questionable billing practices and the philanthropy theme around the firm is nothing more than marketing effort, not genuine. Raffa especially treats employees horribly and it is starting to show

    Pros

Raffa's offices are located in the heart of Washington, DC. Raffa employees are very talented people. Bonuses given during the Christmas holiday.

    Cons

Questionable billing of clients. In many cases, clients were unfairly billed for work. Not a lot of opportunity to advance within the company.

    Pros

The company has good values that you can respect as an employee. There is also a solid work structure where you can understand what is expected from you.

    Cons

In some departments, the leadership could be a little better. There is also room for growth in certain departments and leadership can be close minded.

    Advice to Management

Grow from within. Listen to your employees for ideas instead of outsourcing many things that can be done in house.
