    Great company and culture

    Crew Member (Current Employee)
    Frisco, TX

ProsFlexible scheduling with fun people to work with. This isn't your typical fast food job and everyone is motivated to get things done and work hard for the most part. There's lots of cleaning involved but overall it's pretty fun. Our management respected us crew members and worked really hard to make sure we were accommodated. If you're looking for a flexible job and don't have much experience, working at Cane's will develop your communication skills and make you a better person in the long run.

ConsNot very much upward mobility. You get a raise every 6 months, but it's minimal. I wish they rewarded hard-working employees more

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Love the environment, the laid back dress codes, and the co-workers(mostly) but poor work-life balance.

    Crew Member (Former Employee)

Prosthe community, wearing jeans to work, half off food, mostly friendly customers and co-workers.

Consclosing is a nightmare, unrealistic expectations, poor management, hiring kids who never want to show up for work yet giving their seniors less than 40 hours a week who are willing and need the work. I once got left while closing (i was slow because i was freshly new), the others had a chat/smoke break including the supervisor. the way my managers spoke to each other/us sometimes wasn't fun, it was unprofessional and inappropriate.

Advice to Senior Managementstop giving kids the most hours when their seniors need them, stop micromanaging, yeah- it's a fun and laid back place but i have never had any supervisor talk to me the way they have when i worked here.

Great place to work, many opportunities

    Crew Member (Current Employee)
    College Station, TX

ProsCane's offers several different training programs that allows its employees to get (small) raises. They also do quarterly raises after an evaluation. If you work hard enough, they might even offer you a shift manager position.

ConsVery fast paced! My restaurant was a very high volume store. You will always be moving! This could be seen as a good thing, but there are several days where it is overwhelming

Advice to Senior ManagementSeveral shifts are too understaffed

Prosflexible schedule, decent pay, good hours, great team work, late morning start compared to other fast food restaurants, small menu easy to learn

ConsWorking nights closing and working weekends during football season - tends to get extremely busy, many of the crew members are young - call in to work or are lazy once they get there and are always asking to go home

Advice to Senior Managementdon't hire so many lazy people

ProsI am able to have a flexible schedule and not micro managed. As long as I produce what is expected of me ( a lot of great manager candidates) then I am doing well. Raising Cane's follows the promise of reward and recognition. We strive to make sure everyone is well taken care of and treated fairly. It is a people driven concept. Very refreshing to work for a restaurant chain that believes in a balance of work and home life.

ConsAt this moment, I do not have any.

ProsEasy to make friends, team-orientated, advancement, different experience from store to store, lessons in leadership and goal-setting, flexible scheduling to accommodate schooling, great benefits

ConsEasy to make friends, different experience from store to store, no or limited overtime, you have to seek out and fight for benefits or they will be forfeited
