    Pros

Ability to move up. Attempts to be employee friendly with holiday parties. Straightforward menu to learn. Customers were usually pretty decent.

    Cons

Management was extremely anal-retentive. Evaluations were unfair and patronizing. Not paid enough for amount of work expected. I couldn't stand there for two seconds before being yelled at to do something else.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand where your employees are before throwing commands down as though from on high. If we're doing so much where are you? You're just hiding away in the office again.

    Pros

The general manager and operations manager were extremely hard working always helpful and kind. Work environment was always fun and every major holiday we had off.

    Cons

Corporate has some unrealistic set standards. The upper general management such as General and operations managers were extremely hard working but shift managers were lazy always seemed to sit in the office leaving the crew to dry.

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. There has been room for growth and they are good about promoting from within. People are friendly and expectations are high.

    Cons

Labor goals and cleanliness requirements do not align. We all want immaculately clean facilities, we need the labor to make it happen

    Advice to Management

It's all about customer experience remove the clutter from your operators plates so they can do what they do best, serve great food and deliver great customer experiences.

    Pros

Nice atmosphere, with great people... dependent on the location.

    Cons

Pay; Benefits; Management; Rules about closing times

    Advice to Management

Have uniformity of pay. I worked at canes for a month and got paid less than somebody who just started.

    Pros

There are honestly very few pros to working at Raising Canes. When you first start it will seem like it is the ideal place to work, but as you continue you'll realize it's not.

    Cons

The main con I would say is the managers and pay. In my interview they said "We pay you a little bit more than other places to show that we really value you as an employee." Well, that's completely false. All other fast food establishments pay at least .50$ to 1.00$ more than us an hour. They definitely don't pay the employees enough and buy the cheapest possible equipment which makes your job much harder. When it comes to management, they don't really do anything. At my store, there were managers that had never even work at Canes before this so they were learning how to do things as we learned from them. Another thing is the fact that they do not respect employees. Every day I worked somebody, including myself, would get ridiculed, screamed at, and harassed. Another thing I noticed is that when you put in your two weeks they make sure to schedule you the normal about of time, but they put you in the worst position possible and make you do ridiculous tasks. (Example: making me get down on all fours and scrub the floor.) Finally, they do not offer breaks at Canes. I once worked a 15 hour day and was only offered a 15 minute break after I said I needed one or else I couldn't do it. Often times you will work an 8 hour day and not get a break. If I were you and I was thinking about applying to Canes, please don't. You can find a better job that pays more and where people show respect for employees.

    Advice to Management

    Stop yelling
    Respect employees
Learn the job before you open a store
Pay more as we do hard work for hours
    Offer breaks.
Better discounts. Why can't employees get at least a little free food when managers and trainers can get as much free food as they want?

    Pros

music playing; flexible hours, usually pretty clean(at least on the customers and tables side) i have nothing else to say, I am just requires to write a certain amount of words

    Cons

expected to work extremely fast(even after starting just on my first day); managers cuss and drop middle fingers at employees; managers(besides GM) sit back and do nothing, very low pay

    Advice to Management

be professional, actually help instead of sitting back and watching, do not cuss, do not put middle fingers up at employees for nothing, give better pay to employee's so it attracts harder working people

    Pros

The crewmembers, the atmosphere, and the food! Many opportunities for promotion.

    Cons

    New managers are unbearable
Working drive thru is a night mare

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to fix things that aren't broken.
