I have been working at Ralcorp full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If the opportunity doesn't exist within the company and you are a talented employee, they will create it for you. The company pays very well, benefits are comprehensive and moderately priced for employees. There is a ton of work to do but you will learn a lot and be be more professional and well-rounded for it.

    Cons

Company was Recently acquired by ConAgra so it is unclear how that will affect employees in the long run. Most corporate employees were laid off as part of the merger/acquisition, but for those who remain, time will tell. I was a layoff, which is tough, but it doesn't dissolve the positive experience I gained.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Love the old Ralcorp guard. Wish they would form a new company.

I have been working at Ralcorp full-time

    Pros

The culture is one that really reflects a good work/life balance. Always opportunities to learn new things.

    Cons

The salary ranges could be better. Focus is on being lean (extremely lean) which leads to underperformance in some programs. More investment in infrastructure up front for large projects and implementations would lead to better long term success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less focus on short term bumps and more focus on investing upfront to hopefully operate correctly for years going forward.
