Good company, very experienced people, expect people to slog a lot, not very open

Business Analyst (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsGood learning, industry exposure, good and friendly colleagues(Common bond amongst employees against management), On-the-job training(you can expect to get onsite experience in the first month)

ConsLimited growth, narrow minded leadership, Dirty politics at managerial and above level, product company with very limited people knowing the product, Lately there is constant risk of being fired

Advice to Senior ManagementOpen-door policy required, Create safe environment for people to work and share, bring openness to ideas and work, Its good to keep customers happy, not at the cost of employees' happiness. Get management trained in their roles, especially Delivery Managers in handling customers, Improve product documentation and training process

Best Place to learn technical and functional skills

    Director (Current Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsThe challenges you will face will set the foundation of your career by imbibing lot of learning.
You will learn vast areas, so when you switch over to a MNC, it would be just a cake walk, to perform and shine
New CEO seems to be good

    Cons1. Work culture - Zero
If a bachelor, some seniors will openly tell you, 'You don't have any other commitments during weekends, so better work during weekends.
    2. Infrastructure - Pathetic. BROKEN CHAIRS, Poor systems, STINKING CARPETS, DIRTY TOILETS
    3. Salary Revision: Hike once in 3 years only
    4. Standard working hours is not 8, it's 9. But anyways you will end up working 12-14 hours per day
    5. No process is followed - A reason of which your work life will be so hectic. Though you get to learn technical and functional skills, you will never get to learn about any Process in work

Advice to Senior ManagementFirst ad foremost: PLEASE CHANGE YOUR CHAIRS
    And then Please improve
    1. Work culture - be employee friendly
    2. Take internal surveys on Employee satisfaction and expectations - and initiate improvement activities
    3. Implement some process
    4. At least paint the interior walls
    5. Allow employees to avail their leaves
    6. IMPROVE YOUR EMPLOYEE COUNT TO REDUCE WORK LOAD

Analyst Programmer (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsHave given me leadership exposure at a very early stage.Have played various roles .Build up good technical knowledge(Ramco is particularly popular for its SQL writing skills).Have moulded by giving huge work pressure and taking responsibility.had a vibrant environment as we were a bunch of 20 freshers.Whatever I have now is because of this company.

ConsDirty politics, language based ,caste based ,region based partiality.Need to be a good orator and politician to survuve and bring up yourselves.Bit like a government office

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a clear HR process.Get feedback from employees.Dont just belive on managers and superiors

Business Analyst (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsGood learning opportunity for functional consultants

Cons1 delivery centre. Difficult to get deliverables for your project developed on time.

Advice to Senior ManagementShould think about compensating programmers better and provide them behavioural training. This would prevent attrition and would lead to smooth deliveries.

A company established with a lot of hope, wasted in hands of wrong management.

Senior Product Executive (Former Employee) Chennai (India)

ProsStrong financial backing by the Ramco Group.

ConsA bad group of old employees who occupy top management positions. bad managers who like to save their place in the organzation and try to remove all who oppose. Bad attitude to hire job less freshers on almost no salary and get work done.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter remove all old top management who pretent to do a good job. though they may have strong technical knowledge, they have no knowledge on customer requirement or customer management. Loss of many customers in the end of 2013 is just eveident of that. Try to use the customer as a partner and improve your product. Do research on what customer want. R&D spending on RVW is a waste of good money if you would ask me. When there are other tools that are more flexible, try using them.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
