    Pros

    Great customer service training, upscale clientele. Management cared about the employees. Products were high quality and worth buying. Would recommend to anyone job hunting.

    Cons

    Pay not as high as some stores, such as Costco or Whole Foods. Limited opportunities for advancement in the company. Focus on outstanding service sometimes detrimental to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide more opportunities for employees to achieve. This will result in reduced turnover and a more knowledgeable and effective workforce.

    Pros

    Employee discounts and the Just for U digital,coupons

    Cons

    Some ,store mangers are mean spirited, verbally abusive and despite being reported to HR they continue to harass their employees. The labor hours assigned are never enough to complete the work and as a manager you will be harassed and bullied to accomplish the impossible. Positive feedback is a rarity and negative communication is the norm. There are some good store directors but even then the unrealistic expectations from the corporate level are a hardship. A very stressful work environment and sometimes hostile depending on your store director.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Ask for feedback from your employees regarding the performance of the store leadership in order to weed out the directors who create hostile work environments . Ask for feedback from your department managers BEFORE bringing on new programs.

    Pros

    Great learning experience for Customer service, paint, wallpaper, window coverings, and furniture. Products are excellent quality and most staff are very knowledgeable.

    Cons

    No room for advancement. Many long term employees are no longer productive. Unstructured environment, and business practices. No salary structure, reviews, or advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Know your assets versus your liabilities , Use constructive communication, Be proactive - not reactive, Do business smarter - not cheaper
