    Pros

They found a position for me pretty quick and have been helpful in communication. Personally, my experience with the company has been very positive.

    Cons

It is still temporary work although, they do try and get people into permanent placements.

    Pros

If you work with staffing assistants and show your drive, they will give you assignments—and the more you focus on and communicate your skills and career goals, the better your chances will be of finding a job that will make you happy.

    Cons

They take a large percentage of your earnings—about $0.30 to the dollar. Also, you sometimes have to keep on them for organizational things (although they will, in turn, keep on you for the same reason).

    Pros

I was a staffing agent for Randstad in one of its specialty divisions. The training for the position was top-notch. I feel that I was vetted very appropriately, as were the other professionals in my division. We did excellent work for great clients. I loved finding the right fit for my clients and my talent - that part of the job made it fun to come to work every day.

    Cons

The position was incredibly stressful, because staffing agents were expected to meet various "touch" (in-person) and "talk" (phone call) quotas each day as a part of our divisions success. That meant cold-calling people and dropping in on them, which I've ALWAYS felt to be extremely invasive and annoying to the client. That said, our bonuses could be impacted if we didn't deliver on these numbers, so it was a necessary part of doing business . I just would have changed that piece of it, specifically, if I could.

    Advice to Management

A bit more flexibility and latitude for agents to figure out sales and business development methods that will be successful. I understand proven techniques, but reporting how many phone calls one made on a daily basis was completely off-putting, and made my decision to leave an easy one.

    Pros

Recruiters tend to be fun people....you're bound to enjoy good times with some of your co-workers. Commission structure is decent, must be with company for a long time to move up.

    Cons

Acquired too much, too fast and in doing so, became a sterile corporate structure. Some of the best managers left, top producers left.....people became more of a number than a person.

    Advice to Management

    Update your resume.

    Pros

Locations throughout the U.S. but that's all.

    Cons

Flat Organization, NO Growth, NO Career Progression or Development, Deficient IT Systems with NO hope to change, Senior & Executive Management only care about Bottom Line (shocker) and awful Billing & Payroll support that make us look bad to our clients by making multiple mistakes.

    Advice to Management

please create development plans for your employees, promote those that deserve promotion, conduct exit Interviews when people leave to gather feedback and create better culture, metrics are key in staffing but push quality as well as quantity, separate Lines of Business for Year End metrics so all performers are judged equally, fix your IT internet issues and retrain ALL back office payroll/billing employees. Lastly, LISTEN to the feedback you request on employee surveys.

    Pros

Decent benefits are available. Good working environment

    Cons

Hard to move up in the company while on the same contract. They do not like to move you from one contract to another if your current contract is long term.

    Advice to Management

Open up more opportunities for your employees. To elevate. Offer better training options.

    Pros

The staff covers long office hours, so they are easy to contact.

    Cons

It feels like Randstad's strategy has become more of a money-grab since I first started working with them. They will certainly find employment for you quickly at first, but make sure the job is actually a good fit for you before accepting. As soon as something comes up that's inconvenient to them, they'll forget you; they will also pretend that your happiness and safety is a priority, and parrot the "official" company policy that you can't be forced to stay in a position that you find dangerous or emotionally abusive, but if you actually leave a bad situation your file is closed for good. Absolutely not a good place to be long-term.

    Advice to Management

Revisit your strategy. If an employee is raising red flag after red flag, do not punish them for making a difficult decision if your staffers won't do it for them.
