    A Great work place

I have been working at Rare Mile Technologies

    Pros

I have been with Rare Mile for quite some time now and I have enjoyed every bit of being here. It has a very healthy work culture where each team member is recognized for his/her contributions and hard work.

The TQ (Technical Quotient) of the company is very high - there is a lot of focus on getting the best talent into the company. There are a lot of complex projects on some of the latest technologies that we work on, hence learning is always a part of being a Rare Miler.

Along with the work, the team is involved in a lot of fun activities like birthday parties, quarterly outings and indoor and outdoor sports that keep the environment light and jovial.

If you are are a person who enjoys working and and having fun - this is the right place for you.

    Cons

None that I can think of right now

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Rare Mile Technologies

    Pros

I have been working with Rare Mile for last one and half years. The office environment is quite informal and the biggest plus point is the flexible working hours. It does not matter how much time one spends in office, the only thing that matters is the amount and quality of work done. The company provides lot of extra benefits like free meal, snacks, insurance, organizational openness and transparency. From the learning prospective I guess Rare Mile is the ideal platform to join. Age and experience doesn't matter as Rare Milers have a constant challenge and a scope of gaining tremendous knowledge. We are proud to be the Rare Milers. People may complain that our interview process is tough but we Rare Milers are exceptional so we need someone for whom we can be proud of. So if you think you are that capable then we are always ready to welcome you.

    Cons

Nothing special to be mentioned. Yet searching..

    A Fresher's Dream

I have been working at Rare Mile Technologies full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    1. To a fresher, Rare Mile gives you exactly what you need: a platform to work on what you love, mentors who know what to do with you and the flexibility to do your work the way you think is best.

    2. You'll be solving complex problems in technologies that you didn't know existed in your college days, something that you never get to do in big companies.

    3. You'll have something to learn from every Rare Miler; a casual tea-talk with your co-worker will make you more knowledgeable than you were before.

    4. There is recognition for what you do. It'll be seen to it that your efforts won't go unnoticed.

    5. The environment is such, it feels as though your work-life is an extension of your college-life, only you'll be learning more.

    6. There is a TT table for those who are into that sort of a thing.

    Cons

Not sure it's a bad thing for a fresher, but you'll be working a LOT, weekends not excluded. Con for those who have a conventional 9 to 6 kind of mindset.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train us more, we (freshers) can be really more useful that way!

I have been working at Rare Mile Technologies full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    1. You get to work on what you like. For me, that's the biggest motivation factor,to learn and work on what I like.
    2. Flexible work timings. Its to enable the best in us, not to be misused. If you are planning to come late and go early, no one still cares if you get your work done. That's fair enough
    3. There are zero pure project managers. Zero. There are only technical managers and that means everything you talk makes perfect sense to them and they understand issues with delivery deadlines with all sense.
    4. Compensation is very competitive compared to mass recruiters.
    5. I always wanted more responsibility . And that's something I've got here and you can thrive on it.
    6. Lunch and snacks is a plus. Although that's not the primary reason to work here
    7. You get all the help you need on the floor more than in stack overflow! As a new joinee , I felt really welcomed and everyone were helpful.
    8. The senior management has it clear that we will work on projects that are interesting and challenging. Hence the employees will love their work.
    9. Only laptops no desktops, means if needed we can work from home on a weekday!

    Cons

    1. Flexible timings sometimes may put off work life balance if you don't plan your day well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to choose projects and personnel as you have been doing till date. That ensures that the quality remains intact. Keep up the good work.

In other words, it's a place where you can do good if you mind your work & don't get too involved in anything else!

    Cons

    Pros

It is rare to find a place like Rare Mile. Each individual I have met here is unique in his own way. Being a PM I have never had to tell anyone why it is important to meet timelines and ensure a delivery happens. Our clients are assured that once they have given some work to Rare Mile it will be accomplished. Some of the other features:
    No dearth of Tech challenges
Excellent team of diverse skill set
Open culture, One big family feel
No nonsense policies and stupid restrictions
