    Pros

Co-Workers are great but lost motivation.

    Cons

The only thing consistent in this company seems to be the negative reviews of the company. It is a real sad state of affairs when that is the common denominator. Raymark used to be a company full of potential. Greed, indecisiveness, lack of real management, incompetent administrators have killed the spirit that Raymark once had.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell it, get rid of it. It's too late.

I have been working at Raymark

    Pros

Not sure what I should write. Flex Time is good.

    Cons

Lack for vision. Lack of good management. Training and career development is non-existant. Communication is non-existant. Management is lacking in real managment skills. No sense of priority. Letting go of top notch developers and then re-hiring them back clearly shows a reactionary-style management. No forward thinking, no strategic plan(s).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell, close or find a new leader. Downsize the finance and administration department that has nothing to do with the development and evolution of the software. For the size of company, you do not need 6 people to manage the finances. Bring back the REAL managers - if you can.

    Pros

    Flex time.
Some of the people, management excluded.
    Christmas party.

    Cons

Where do I start? The entire management team, such a joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sell the company.
Start respecting your customers and stop screwing them over with your ridiculous development and upgrade costs!
If you haven't signed 1 new customer in over 3 years something needs to change! Hire back the real workers and fire those that don't produce. Use your brains, time to restructure your sales department starting from the top!!!
Marc Chriqui, come out come out wherever you are!

I have been working at Raymark

    Pros

    Most fellow colleagues are great.

    Cons

Raymark's management has the ability to transform the most dedicated employee and the most trusting client into cynical, defeated entities. Promises to clients are constantly broken, and hardworking employees are treated like they are worthless. The more they give, the more is demanded from them, and the less they are appreciated. The company's CEO, Claude Chriqui, is a tyrant who treats both his most devoted employees and his longtime clients with complete disrespect. Marc, the company's president, is a lost cause with zero sense of direction, no commitment to his word, and a very poor work ethic. He is almost viewed as a joke throughout the company, and is a classic example of why nepotism rarely leads to success.

From poor direction to disorganized product development and beyond, there are countless reasons why this company is headed for bankruptcy. They recently laid off half the staff, a day after informing everyone that they would be cutting all of their salaries by 30% to save their jobs. Unfortunately, the wonderful people who were doing everything in their power to help Raymark move forward were once again cast aside by the few who can't even see how severely they are destroying the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop embarrassing yourselves by pretending you know how to run a company. Stop blaming external sources for your mismanagement. Own up to your responsibilities, cut your losses, and close or sell the company.

I have been working at Raymark full-time

    Pros

Flex time is a good perk from the company.

    Cons

Physical working evironment is less then desirable. Workstations are delapitated. IT systems are not secure and are outdated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recently announced that employees have a choice between a 30% pay cut or layoff. Then turns around and lays off 1/3 if not 1/2 of the staff. Shows that management has no sense of planning from the start. Whether it be SDLC, Sales, Marketing, Finance - planning was not a priority. Knee jerk reactions are. There has been no sense of priority in the company for the longest time. Sell it, and if there are no buyers, find qualified leaders who can turn it around. But my gut feeling is that it is too late. Just close it.

I have been working at Raymark full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Flex time, cheap lunch. Nothing else.

    Cons

Just laid off 1/3 of the company. No sales. Incompetent sales team. No leadership. Office crumbling, dirty water in the taps, paint smells seeps in from company below. Roof leaks. Computers don't work. Broken furniture. They get subsidies from Quebec and Federal governments and put the money in their pocket.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire the slackers. Open your eyes! Hire some competent salespeople. Hire an outsider to run the company or sell what's left of it.

    A poor place to work

    I worked at Raymark

    Pros

They are few and far between, but flex time and some genuinely good people.

    Cons

Lack of processes, outdated software practices. Lack of a cohesive architecture.
Lack of management, outdated management ideologies. Moral cowardice and far too quick to find fault.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Smarten up. Your models for software development are out dated. Stop lying to yourselves about your dubious successes. Hire management that is competent and not just bootlickers
