I have been working at RealPage full-time for less than a year

ProsI loved the trainin program and still love the one on one contact and training i get with my supervisors and TL. It is a great family oriented enviroment with tons of incentive and oppurtunity to succeed.

ConsNone so far. They give you ample oppurtunity and flexibility to grow and to live a productive and enjoyable life.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep it up! I love working here!

Interesting work, nowhere to go

Web Developer (Former Employee)
Carrollton, TX

I worked at RealPage full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe work was interesting and there was plenty of opportunity to learn new things

ConsNo opportunity for advancement, management can't make any decisions themselves--it literally had to go all the way up the chain to the CEO to get anything approved. Raises are based off a fixed amount distributed over a team, so if you walk on water, you will get 3%, but a 1%-2% annual increase is most likely. Company culture is sick. Really sick.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management--trust the people you hire to do their jobs and make decisions. Clean out the dead weight--there's exponentially more of thet here than any other place I've ever been.

Dev II (Current Employee)

I have been working at RealPage full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood Medical, 401k Match, possible to move up into management

ConsLots of individual units that don't work together well. This is primarily because RP acquires several small companies a year and doesn't integrate them really well.

RP is also in the process of replacing the current workforce of developers, QA, BA's and so on with a new cheaper workforce in the philippines. Basically, when someone quits here, their work goes overseas and no one is rehired in the US. What's happening because of this is that there is a heavy management presence in the US corporate office but few actual workers in the US.

Most of the directors/vice presidents aren't former developers which doesn't work well as this is a software company.

Advice to Senior ManagementSheer of the director level of the company and add more project managers who are actual developers in their place. Stop hiring overseas, because this is causing resentment here. I'm having to work my regular 9-6 plus once or twice a week get online at 9-10 pm to work with people over there.

Great coworkers but horrible management

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Carrollton, TX

I have been working at RealPage full-time

ProsThe employees are great. Some of the best coworkers you could ask for. Most everyone goes above and beyond to do a superior job.

ConsManagement leaves a lot to be desired. They are two faced. They say what you want to hear but are only interested in looking out for themselves.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop trying to intimidate the employees because you feel threatened by them.
