    Pros

Medical benefits. Vacation time. Holiday pay. Clean work environment.

    Cons

sr. management operates in a bubble and has no clue how to fix the issues. they rely on opinions and hearsay to run day to day business. More high level positions are continuing to be added to address issues that are not resolved due to incompetencies of sr management.

    Advice to Management

stop being so gullible and stop micromanaging. If problems are not resolved and conditions aren't improved, chances are the person directly in that position is not capable of handling the duties, therefore do not add personnel hoping to solve the issue. Throwing more resources at the problem is never considered a resolution to any problem and is only a false pretense of poor leadership trying to convey the message that they are doing something about the problem.

    Pros

The company pays for the medical insurance and PTO plus holidays is somewhere around 5-6 weeks a year

    Cons

The company depends a lot of the feedback from headquarters in Germany and the department budgets are very very small.

    Pros

This company offers great benefits with excellent paid time off. Great company for family oriented professionals. Very clean work environment since all manufacturing/fabrication are outsourced. Fully climate controlled work environment. Paid holidays are abundant and 401K match is fair. Beneficial company to start your career with but after a year or two, you need to move on to ensure continued career growth, competitive pay, etc.

    Cons

A growing company with many personnel changes at the middle to top level management in the last 10 years creating an unstable environment for the rest of the company. Company has many goals and targets but all are challenging to achieve continuously due to inability to retain experienced and reliable employees for the long term. Employees come and go at all levels and all departments. Guesstimate average length of service of all supervisors and to top management is less than 3 years at their current role. RECARO USA is established as a separate entity from its German counterpart but be aware that management personnel, career paths, and procedures/processes are decided by Germany where the "Functional Leadership" remains. A strong desire to mirror all operations, processes and procedures to be like that of the German facility, however management positions, number of staff members, financial support and employee compensation are at least a level or two below Germany in comparison in all areas. Management positions and other attractive positions are often filled by promoting and transferring in German counterparts. US Management team does not strive for individuality, too compliant in many areas where it does not make sense. Very weak career development, HR is more about hiring and firing employees rather than creating development programs for existing employees.

    Advice to Management

If you are to succeed and excel in this competitive market, you must become more visionary and take charge of your own operations. What works well for Germany may not work well for you since you do not have the same infrastructure, personnel base, and financial support that they have. Why follow when you can lead? Break yourselves free of the "absentee" micro-management because when things go wrong, its still your fault; not theirs. Employee retention is key to any growing organization. Stop losing employees with experience and think you can just backfill with another one. Most professional positions here are high-skilled positions that require decisive actions. Seriously analyze this concern and put some well deserved thoughts and efforts into addressing this issue or you will always struggle to support your growth with new and inexperienced staff members while backfilling vacated positions simultaneously. Your current struggle is not only that you do not have defined processes and procedures in place, it is because everyone is so new (due to the constant turn-overs, changes of roles and responsibilities, understaffed departments, etc.) that no one knows what the heck is going on including management. Encourage teamwork and professionalism within your management team and this will trickle on down to everyone else eliminating a dog eat dog, finger-pointing work environment. Problems and inadequacies may come to surface easier and sooner when everyone has an opportunity to speak and share their ideas.

    Pros

Benefits package is above average, probably due to being a European (Germany) based company.

    Cons

The base pay, for all areas, is below average, which is the major cause of an exceptionally high turnover rate of employees. The company's response to the frequent low pay criticisms is to claim that Recaro's pay "is competitive for our industry". The turnover rate also causes frequent shortages of workers for critical skills stations, resulting in the unpopular remedy of temporarily moving assembly line workers to other, more unfamiliar assembly lines to cover these shortages. Additionally, many of the workers hired aren't competent enough, or motivated enough to be trained (or trusted) for many of the critical skills positions.

    Advice to Management

    1. Increase your base pay! By doing so you'll attract a higher class of worker that can be trained for some of the critical positions and won't "call in sick" twice a week. Your "employee retention" plan that relies on things like company picnic's and Christmas Party's that employees don't value is ineffective at best. 2. Alter your pay structure to offer bonuses to those employees that can function in those critical skills positions. 3. Reduce the amount of "line shifting" to work other production lines (often building a totally unfamiliar class of seat.

    Pros

Have good values, work culture, respect for the employee

    Cons

Uneven distribution of work to employees, lack of motivation, relatively low salary, lack of professional growth, work overload

    Advice to Management

Management needs to work more on motivating the employees, managing the work flow (distribution of work), estimating the resources need.

    Pros

Good medical benefits. Company is located in nice area.

    Cons

Low salary pay grade compared to industry. Not a very good place to rise up in career. Your knowledge will be negligible. Company has no interest providing employee additional work related training. Friendship with higher management is more important than your work performance. They have no set Criteria for their posts.

    Advice to Management

Company has lit of people to whom company pays for no productivity. Too cheap for providing employees facilities for work. Poor work process system. Lack of communication.
