I have been working at Recondo Technology as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

There are some great people working in the development group here, many of them very smart and very passionate about what they do. The company seems to be working on turning themselves around from previous problems in quality and leadership that they've had.

    Cons

The company previously operated in dedicated Silos and has only recently switched it's focus to integrate its products. Because of it's strong background in Siloing theres a lot of disorganization among teams and no one is ever willing to take the blame meaning that some bugs sit around for months, because of this stacking of problems it feels like you're stuck in a constant sprint with the finish line getting further and further away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down and focus on quality. There's a lot of active development and innovation trying to happen but that won't mean anything without a greater focus on quality towards our customers.

Stay away from this company as an employee and a customer!

    Pros

Nothing good to say about this company.

    Cons

Recondo is hell bent on working you to death. Plus they rely heavily on college students to do the work. Would you trust any company knowing they use interns to support their products?

    Pros

I guess if you like working in a culture of fear this is right up your alley.

    Cons

Not sure this is a real business. The management team from ex-Goldman Sachs seem to have a history of starting up companies, building up their appearance of profitability, luring in investors, then selling out and walking away with the buying company either suing for misrepresenting the value of the company or soon filing for bankruptcy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't have any advice. I think they are gaming the system as well as you can. They run the business on free open source software and their books look really good. It will crash and burn after they walk away with more money. What did PT Barnum say?

I have been working at Recondo Technology full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Senior management are generally experts in their fields and they work side-by-side with employees. Opportunities for advancing skills and career are very high. The company's products and services are in demand and will continue to be well into the future. The technologies used to deploy them are current if not ahead of most companies. "Pay for performance" culture means employees are rewarded for their contributions...not tenure/politics.

    Cons

The fast-paced culture is not for everyone. As with most companies work-load can vary greatly depending on the department/manager/responsibilities. That said most employees are tasked with a great deal of responsibility, accountability and ownership over their work.
