Unsatisfied.

I have been working at Reebok

ProsTime is offered during the day to work out, killer discount, and fun events.

ConsSenior management changes direction on a regular basis. Timelines are set by those not close to the process, leaving a lot of work to be done by an unrealistic deadline. Very political, mangers are put in place who have zero experience in the area they are managing. View is that the the directors and senior management are to delegate while those below them actually do the work. Hard to find managers who leads by example and get their hands dirty in the everyday work.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire managers who have experience and are willing to do the work. Listen to those who are actually doing the work day to day when looking for feedback and direction.

Think talent, ambition and vision and maybe youll make it back to top of heap

Associate (Former Employee)
Canton, MA

I worked at Reebok full-time for more than a year

ProsLearned a lot about logistics and footwear/fitness lifestyle. Definitely a resume builder. Good culture if you make an effort. Great work life balance (because everyone pretty much leaves by 5-6, a luxury) Cool grounds and building, fun perks, good parties, gym, classes, discount.

ConsCEO did not have a clear vision and was thusly demoted, and many others lost their job. Middle management is undertrained. A classic "top down" ineptitude. because they dont want to pay for quality talent they get marginal manager types. When cuts are made to programs they move people around that they like regardless of that persons experience with new product/program. Had 4 managers in 2 years because of lost business/mismanagement/layoffs. Interpersonal politiking landmines abound. Like most places your happiness depends on who you work with.

Advice to Senior ManagementSeek (and pay) for talent from around the country/globe. Recruiting needs to bone up. Hire top talent and youll get top results. But it seems they dont want to pay/pay to move people and therefore get stuck with a lot (not all) suburbanite seat fillers.

Good place to work, but a lot of turnover

ProsGood place to work, a lot of talented passionate, people. Consideration of business/family life values and good benefit package. Headquarters and campus are first rate.

ConsLarge turnover of people and shuffling of responsibilities and seating locations within the building and business units. A lot of politics. Keeps a lot of people on edge.
