I have been working at Reed Exhibitions USA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I've worked here for many years and have grown and learned a lot here. I started right out of college and have moved up in my career.

    Cons

I've been here for a good amount of years and the pay never gets better, I stay because of the people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the people that work hard for your company more money instead of starting new program/departments and giving them the budget that could go to our raises.

I have been working at Reed Exhibitions USA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun working environment and attending the events is fun. People on generally hardworking.

    Cons

Pay is low and expectations are high. Middle management is often terrible because they promote the cheapest person that will work long hours. Middle management often has zero management skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay people what they are worth and don't work them to death.

I have been working at Reed Exhibitions USA full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Recognize ability and promote from within. Smart leadership as it relates to the big picture

    Cons

Good and smart people at leadership level, but the amount of internal politics at the Sr Mgmt level is unusual. None of them trust each other it seems. Performance trumps character.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand you can move on from disruptive sr leaders who treat people poorly, and bring in (or retain) those who deliver AND treat your employees well. If you don't, your staff will eventually let you know one way or another.

I worked at Reed Exhibitions USA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very clear about expectations and offered good support tools like call management systems. Enjoyed working the shows.

    Cons

Exceeded sales goals first year but was transferred to an adminstrative job because a more senior employee needed a job after they sold the show she worked on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize those that exceeded their sales goals instead of demoting them for political reasons.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
