    Pros

    this is a high growth consumer products company with strong market potential. reed's seems to be making the transition from natural foods to mainstream grocery chains. this is essential to future growth

    Cons

    the company is underfunded. it needs to become profitable for long term viability. the company needs to spend marketing resources in order to get the word out and to enhance the brand.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    management needs to learn to delegate. they are not very trusting of the employees. employees need to be encouraged to take risks and not be afraid to make mistakes.

    Pros

    The products are really good and the company is growing every year.

    Cons

    Management is poor, unprofessional and disorganized. Every man for himself mentality and a lot of blaming and backstabbing goes on in every day operations. Overall the company lacks integrity. Unrealistic expectations and non acheivable goals are presented to employees and no support whatsoever is given to help achieve them. I am a highly positive person but found myself feeling defeated and poisioned by the work envioronment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Chris Reed should be more aware of how his management treats employees. One manager in particular is very difficult to work for. Employees are frequently told they are disposable - which is true given the high rate of firings by this manager. My advice to Chris Reed would be to reach out to your employees in a private, confidential way and try to learn more about what is going on behind your back. You are very vulnerable to employee lawsuits right now.
