I have been working at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

There's always an informal, relaxed environment. The floor staff are usually quite young which leads to a fun vibe. Weekdays aren't too busy so work other than working with customers/the movies can be done.

    Cons

Weekends are extremely busy at times, though it's always manageable.

I have been working at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible hours
Very easy job with little stress or responsibilities
    Fun, relaxed environment

    Cons

    Pay isn't fantastic
    Advancement Opportunities aren't plentiful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe up the pay a bit. After six years of employment I'm making roughly a dollar more than when I started. The job is easy, but I feel people that stay around that long ought to be compensated thusly.

I have been working at Regal Entertainment full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great first job, especially for high school students. Very laid back and can be real fun if you have a good relationship between cast members and management. As a cast member this job is easy.

Though after a year if you aren't offered a management position you may want to look for another job. Management is a great opportunity to make your resume look good. You also gain a lot of experience but it is nothing difficult.

Depending on the management above you, you make be looking at more growth opportunities or you may be looking at a glass ceiling. Anyone with real potential will climb quickly or have already found better opportunities.

    Free movies +

    Cons

Promotions are given a little to generously. I've had good and bad managers. Any complaints of cast members being overworked is probably due to the incompetence of management. Some managers feel entitlement and act like they do more than they actually do.

    -Lack of benefits.
-Drama (Not only from high school students)
    -Favorites

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your management better. Give better benefits to management and maybe they'll stay longer and then your GM's won't desperately promote unqualified managers.

I worked at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-I really loved my managers. I was actually really upset when I left because of them
-you can take off any day you need with only a week in an advanced with usually no problem

    Cons

-the hours are AWFUL there. I always working until 2am and then the SAME day later on I would have to go in at 11am
-barely got sleep because of this job
-frowned upon if you call out of work for anything EVEN IF there's a state of emergency or you have a doctors note
-the customers are always so rude because of the high prices
    -it's only minimum wage
-you'll have to work in a greasy oily environment because of the popcorn
-always worked all the major holidays

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't get mad at an employee for calling out for being sick. Especially because we work with food.

    I worked at Regal Entertainment

    Pros

Free movies, other young staff, always busy, weekend schedule during school, pretty flexible on schedule.

    Cons

They've been cutting payroll hours year after year. This means that you are responsible for things that you don't have time to cover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your older employee's more. It was really unfortunate when you demoted a bunch of older guys who often quit.

I worked at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This was a great first job, but became less appealing after being promoted. They are open 365 days a year. The people I worked with were fantastic. This company does offer many advancement opportunities.

    Cons

After being promoted I felt like I did way too much work for very little pay. One of the managers above me seemed to delegate all of her tasks onto me. Only four people were allowed to be full time, so the rest had to average under 30 hours per week.
