I worked at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great first job. Totally miss going to the movies for free. Equal parts work and fun. Awesome coworkers were what helped me get through the day. The work is so easy. It's nice to just turn off your brain and scoop popcorn.

    Cons

Customers were typically a pain, but they always made for great stories. The more people you work with, the more fun it is. The only bummer is you can't really move up in the company from the floor staff. I knew people who have worked there for 5-7 years and were still floor staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The more floor staff that are scheduled at the same time, the higher team morale.

I have been working at Regal Entertainment

    Pros

The management is very understanding and supportive. As long as you follow the policies, the management will support you as much as they can. They are very willing to work with you if you have a flexible schedule. You get free movies and discounts on almost all items.

    Cons

Closing can take 2-3 hours regardless of what day of the week it is and how busy you are. They are VERY strict when it comes to following policies. When they say to not have your phone on you, they mean it and they will follow the rules and guidelines given to them. As long as you follow all of the policies, you will be fine.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure training is taught the same by everyone. The trainers don't always treat their trainees the same, so the employees have different work ethics and ways they do things.

I worked at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Having versatility and a great team to work with made the position exceptional. I learned a lot of different skills and was in charge of different areas every few months which kept the job new and exciting.

    Cons

Long hours or very late night hours. We called ourselves vampires because we hardly saw the sun. It was slightly difficult to keep a normal life outside of work because of the night hours. I tended to get home anywhere from 2am-4am and would have to be back at work the next night around 4pm sometimes earlier.

I have been working at Regal Entertainment part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Regal is a great place for a first job. Most employees are in college or high school and everyone is like a family. The job is easy and can be a lot of fun too. You also get free movies for you and a guest. Regal is also really good about working around your schedule if you have school or a second job.

    Cons

-Closing shifts as late as 2am
    -Lots of cleaning
-Not a lot of opportunity for promotion or growth
    -Minimum pay
-Open 365 days of the year so expect to work holidays and almost every weekend

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more incentive for your employees! Employees don't earn any sort of benefits and having some would make them care more about their job.
