Former Employee – worked at Regal Entertainment full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – for the most part managers are encouraged to run their theatres like their own business.
Cons – Corporate dictating rules to theatres that do not always make sense in application. need more opportunities to promote up the chain. work night weekends and holidays, can make a personal life difficult.
Advice to Senior Management – Higher pay for people working in theatres.

Current Employee – been working at Regal Entertainment part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Free movies are great but corporate has recently started cracking down on passes to employees. Easy work as far as a part time job goes. Theaters make for a fun environment to work in.
Cons – Hours can change wildly from week to week along with being cut hours midshift if corporate decides they need less people on payroll. Pay is almost bare minimum on top of that. Working with the public means working with the rude public as well.
Advice to Senior Management – Making the pay slightly more competitive would get higher quality workers.

Current Employee – been working at Regal Entertainment part-time for less than a year
Pros – Free movies. Free popcorn. If you work as an usher, you can hide from supervisors. Most managers do not look for you.
Cons – Cleaning theaters, low pay (minimum wage). Except for some senior citizens that work the door, all employess are 25 and younger. Most managers are inexperinced at managing people.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire managers that know how to deal with people. Most don't have a clue what to do. Also need better communication between managers.

Former Employee – worked at Regal Entertainment part-time for less than a year
Pros – The co workers were awesome! They were some of the best and it was easy to get along with them. However most of them were young.
Cons – Management was mean. They would always be breathing down our necks.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop being so mean.

Current Employee – been working at Regal Entertainment part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Works well with school
Co-workers become like a second family
Opportunities to move up are common (as an employee)
Free movies
Cons – Pay raises are extremely rare and small (.45 raise after 3 years)
Too many strict rules and regulations make it difficult to do your job to the fullest
Employees (and management) feel unappreciated by top management
Rules and policies change on a monthly basis, making it hard and stressful to keep up
Hefty consequences if every rule is not followed to a tee
Not given enough payroll to work with, effectively
Blatantly obvious every new policy, rule, and regulation is to increase revenue - never to improve work conditions.
Very late nights
Not enough individual attention and policy modifications for each individual theatre
Advice to Senior Management – Be more involved in your theatre's business and less involved in your pay raises. Make your employees and lower management happy and you will see your company begin to work harder because of higher morality. Pay them right, give them enough staff, and give individual attention to each theatre's needs. Blanket policies do not work for every theatre. Ease up on new rules, policies, and regulations, allowing more room for creativity and individual work styles, leading to more efficient work. Do not forget who is making you rich.
