    Pros

Free movie tickets were the biggest plus, fun place to work, awesome management

    Cons

Late hours, which is typical in the movie theater business, very young and immature staff (also typical in the movie theater business), working with greasy food

    I worked at Regal Entertainment

    Pros

They do a good job with your job, they employ you and give you money when you need it.

    Cons

It is a retail job so you might not like it so much. It is for some people but not for all people.

I worked at Regal Entertainment part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Other coworkers are nice.
    - Free movies.
That's about all I can say that is positive.

    Cons

    - Hours are not very flexible.
    - If you can't work until at least 11, don't even try it.
    - Would not recommend for someone still in high school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't schedule untrained minors who are still in school to close concessions by themselves at 12:30 in the morning. They do not like that.

I worked at Regal Entertainment full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Free movies daily.
    Free popcorn/drinks when working/on breaks.
Discounts on food at other times.
Somewhat flexible schedules during the week.
Business arrives in "sets," so there are busy hours with downtime between.
Slower, more streamlined business in off-peak season (fall/winter/spring).
    Easy to request time off.
    Fun for a first job.
Good for students, younger staff, and good for people who want part time.

    Cons

No benefits unless you are full-time management.
Uniform is very strict. No visible body art, and no unnaturally colored hair. No piercings.
Pay hours are available based on business levels (amount of people buying tickets), so it is very possible to be sent home early for your shift if it is not busy. It happens more often than you think.
Weekends and evenings are most likely dedicated to work.
Depending on location, can leave work as late as 3am.
Raises are given different at review, depending on management.
No consistency between any upper management, district, or GM.
Sometimes communication gets lost on many things.
Employees who are not qualified or deserve it get promoted often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Yearly review need to be given ON TIME (within a week either way of the employee's anniversary date), and raises need to be applied based on performance and review point totals.

Communication with employees is a must, and periodic meetings will strengthen your team and leave less room for error and "I didn't know" reasoning.

Maximize your ability to create show schedules that save on payroll and don't have your building open as unnecessarily late.

Teach more than just two people how to use the TMS and build movies. Teach employees projection troubleshooting, AT LEAST.

I have been working at Regal Entertainment part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Free movies, flexibility, fun, work-life balance and has a school-leave program for students. I really enjoy working here seasonally or weekends only and then coming back to in the summer when I don't have school to find out that I still have a job here, it's really a nice job for students.

    Cons

Working holidays and weekends, also pay increase has low mobility

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More training, increase positivity and more openness to improving morale of the environment

I have been working at Regal Entertainment

    Pros

    Free movies.
    Flexible schedule.
They will give you all the time off you want.
    Tasks can be pretty easy.

    Cons

They cut your shifts A LOT. You will not get enough hours. They don't like when people like to work a lot. One time they cut my shift into only two hours of work that day.
    Crappy pay.
    Annoying people.
    Other employees get bossy sometimes.
They will give you super hard, strenuous cleaning tasks occasionally and it is not worth the pay.
Some managers will treat you like you're stupid if you're new.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let people work more! Stop cutting. And stop hiring so many people and scheduling so many people to work at once. That causes more shift cutting.

    Pros

very easy, flexible hours, good experience, free movies

    Cons

pay is horrible, always understaffed, management is not reliable, people who are hired either take job too seriously nor not seriously at all, too much responsibility put on senior employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

start paying your employees a little bit more and the turn over rate may not be so high
