    Pros

People are friendly and the pay is good. The staff for most part is great. Everyone is compassionate and caring.

    Cons

There is not any type of structure or procedures within the departments. The leadership does not manage for effective results. Staff is stressed and overworked especially management. Management and employees do not have any accountability and this is in all there departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The departments do not believe in training, knowledge transfer....knowledge/processes are not store anywhere. The leadership does not manage for effective results. There is not a work life balance. Employees cannot be creative and management is not supportive. One other thing, management is not informed - they do not have a clue. The moral of employees is vital to high performance.

    Pros

Really enjoyed the team I worked with and the departments that I worked with.
Very open and friendly. Peers willing to lend a hand or a smile.
    Department heads are approachable.
Great opportunities to learn the applications. Very hands on.

    Cons

Management team could be stronger, a lot of turn over in management team.
Uneven distribution of work. No Accountability. Not much room for advancement, especially if pursuing a non-management position.
    No work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand your team's workloads. Define clear responsibilities and hold the team accountable. Listen to your team's suggestions. Provide feedback and help when requested.
    Be visible with your support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

401K match is weak compared to other hospitals, Keep up the renovation work. It is really making a difference in employee and patient attitude. Environment is everything.

I have been working at Regional One Health

    Pros

Nurse friendly, overtime available, positive attitudes among coworkers, supportive administration, grateful patients, groundbreaking technology and learning possibilities, amazing opportunities to mold future doctors

    Cons

Heavy workload, sometimes low staffing, outdated equipment, outdated building, poor reputation in some departments which reflects upon outstanding departments, potentially dangerous/high crime area or clientele, high stress environment, difficult parking

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more nurses!

I worked at Regional One Health full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Interesting patients, good learning opportunities. Nursing staff did not have a hostile attitude toward new nurses so the chance to learn was present. Never a dull moment and the 12 hour shifts never seemed long.

    Cons

Shortages of almost all staff make some tasks difficult or unsafe. Support staff necessary to perform basic nursing care is almost non-existent on some floors. Night staffing was bare bones at best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More loyalty to the employees and additional staffing in critical shortage areas.
