Overtime often
Cons

Advice to Senior Management
Truly stick to mission statement and company values and company can really grow
Pros
You will receive a decent 401k match. Health benefits are great. I like 2 weeks off of paid vacation, and that does not include all bank holidays, which is another 7-10 days off, 12 days of sick time each year.
Cons
Extreme micro-management. Must sell products each day, or an action plan will be put in place. You sell products that are not good for the clients, you must do this to keep your job. Salary is low compared to competitors. Senior management will do anything to make a buck. Company is not looking too good as far as stability, and there is extreme turnover in the company right now. Being on the front line in banking right now, is extremely tough.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure that you do what is right for the client. Somewhere along the way, I feel that this was forgotten. Also, have a more competitive compensation structure. I am leaving Regions Bank, due more compensation somewhere else.
Pros
Self management, limited overshadow from managers
Cons
Time frame to get a decision on requests
Advice to Senior Management
set smart goals that are attainable with staffing model
Pros
Good benefits, good hours, positive management personalities, good customer relationships
Cons
They changed my part time hours from 8:30-2:30 to 11am-5:30pm after 5 years.
Advice to Senior Management
They are doing the best they can but the banking industry has been hit hard.
Pros
Wonderful staff, and management and always something to be done.
Cons
Merger with AMSouth relocated division
Advice to Senior Management
n/a
Pros
opportunity to make money and fun environment to work for a call center.
Cons
Hours may not be to your benefit. You may have to work on Saturday.
Advice to Senior Management
Feedback on job performance is important.
Pros
Decent benefits and good people
Cons
Adaquate information available to employees who have the motivation to" find it on their own" however training is almost not existent for certain positions. Expectations and job responsiblilites are not uniform company-wide for the same job positions.
Advice to Senior Management
Consistent training is needed as well as consistent job responsiblites and expectations. Upper Management does not set outlined and uniform responsiblites in which at times leaves the employees at a disadvantage.
Pros
Easy hours, and easy atmosphere.
Cons
Seemed unfair, it seemed like the old buddy system.
Advice to Senior Management
promote based on what people have achieved, and are able to achieve, not on how long they have been with the company.
Pros
Benefits are average
Customers and employees are like family
Commute!!!
Growth opportunities and experience have been rewarding
Knowledge gained and taught to new hires.
Cons
Driven by circumstances
Disregard for employees (no investment/no return)
Unethical leadership
Abuse of authority/position (fearbased mgt )
Unrealistic expectations
Unstable objectives
Inconsistent gaols
Outdated technology
Number of turnover
Lack of staffing
Low compensation
Advice to Senior Management
Senior leaders are too far removed from the realities of their associates. Connect, listen, learn then lead.
Pros
Good health insurance and benefits, strong support team from management and other associates who are always ready to help each other...at my branch anyway. Branch manager very on top of whats going on in the branch and makes sure you are where you need to be with your performance and focus of products and making sure customer service is top notch. Honestly its not my dream job and I diddn't grow up saying I can't wait to work at Regions bank and sale bank products and try to help people with their account problems all day, but hey its a job, and I feel that as long as I pull my weight and do what I'm required its a secure one. Discounts on cell phone service.
Cons
It does really suck being inside all day. Way to strict on the cell phone thing, first place I ever worked that had a problem with employees having there phone on. The way I see it, a cell phone is a personal thing and I pay way to much for the service for someone to tell me I can't use it, I feel like unless Regions decides they want to start paying my phone bill they really shouldn't have a say in how or if I use it. Now with that being said, I do appreciate the discount on my phone bill.
