    Amazing company!

Operations Analyst (Current Employee) Birmingham, AL

ProsRegions is non-discriminatory, has excellent vacation and holidays, and allows for personal and professional growth.

ConsCompensation and communication seem to be a little lacking. Merit increases are on the low side.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would suggest being more transparent with direct reports. The more we understand, the better we can perform at any level.

    Branch Manager

Branch Manager (Current Employee) Indianapolis, IN

ProsRegions has more of a family atmosphere not only in the branches but even in the upper management and corporate level.

ConsInitial training focuses on products and services but lacks training around day to day operations of the branch. That training does take place but mine happened about 5 months after my hire date and I was in my branch approximately 1 month after hire.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore preparation before entering the branch.

    The worst job ever!!!!!

    Teller (Former Employee) Madison, AL

Prospaid holidays and off on weekends

Consexpensive health coverage, terrible management, unrealistic goals, selling products you wouldn't recommend to family/friends

Advice to Senior ManagementBe sincere when it comes to meeting customer's needs. If you are setting goals for tellers and other platform associates, make sure that you are setting great examples of ways to better customer service. Don't take your stress out on you team. Be apart of your team! Show your employees that you truly value them and appreciate their hard work. Corporate needs to hire better managers, assistant managers, and head tellers.

Post Amsouth Merger made for a very difficult environment

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Atlanta, GA

ProsIt seems like all commercial banks are the same, so, if you worked for one, you know what it's like. Other than size, I cant think of any significant difference between commercial banks today.

ConsAmsouth take over made for a difficult environment outside of Birmingham. Narrow and unpredictable authority structure made lending and work outs extremely difficult. As of 2008, a time of crisis, that was likely the norm at most commercial banks.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
