    Pros

    Senior management fosters a culture that is pervasive and positive. The company seems to truly care about the employees and employ several methods to ensure employee development and opportunity.

    Cons

    Competitive business decisions within the credit culture have somewhat of a hangover effect from the economic downturn.

    Pros

    Decent pay, training and benefits, but production goals are unrealistic.

    Cons

    The computer system is slow and antiquated and takes valuable time away from trying to hit the unrealistic sales goals. Turnover of staff, from tellers to business bankers, is very high compared to other banks and an observant person can see that management is the reason why the staff is nervous and unhappy. Mistakes, no matter how inconsequential, are not forgiven and will be held against you. Hard work and good performance does little to reverse the damage. Do not voice concerns to management, even when they ask you for your honest feedback, because it will come back to bite you. Gossip is prevalent, management does little to discourage it, and is sometimes the source of it. As a whole, the company is good and these comments are reflective of the dysfunctional Orlando management.

    Be aware the company policy such as, "do the right thing" applies to them as well.

    Pros

    The opportunities on a corporate level. In Birmingham AL, the opportunities are endless if you are willing to relocate. Senior Management listen and try to provide solutions.

    Cons

    If you want a promotion with a pay raise, it is best to leave the company. I've seen it time after time, great candidates are bypassed because senior managers are looking for a quick fix instead of investing in current employees.

    Cons

    Over worked staff, long teller lines, every department is short staffed, lots of errors made by staff, limited training, employees are not knowledgeable. Poor technology due to resources.

    learn to team build and communicate with employees. listen to your employees so you get better production. give ideas instead of throwing your work on everyone else.

    I have been working at Regions Financial

    Pros

    Regions has a great work ethic, and they treat their employees very well. Of course alot of that has to do with your manager, and wether they are good leaders. It is especially good because the company has alot of financial strength and stability. I would recommend anyone who is currently seeking a good job with alot of room for advancement to take a look at regions financial, and move up the corporate ladder. Althought you dont need a degree, it always helps to have one to show your determination and hard work. Regions has been and is a good place to work.

    Cons

    The only downside that I can think of is the constant push for sales.

    I dont really have much advice to give to management except keep up the good work so that we can continue to keep our job.

    Stable Company with a large customer base.

    Constantly raising goals and requiring production regardless of what the financial markets are doing.

    Stop promoting cheaters and brown nosers. It is demotivating for thos people who actually want to do a good job the right way.

    Pros

    Pay package is very very good. However, lot of sales stress to go along with that. Regions/AmSouth pays about the highest for all positions from tellers on up. There is a lot of talk about "do the right thing" but that is just talk not really what happens.

    Cons

    Sales pressure is excessive and cheating to make sales goals is widespread through the bank. The turnover from tellers to business bankers, private bankers, managers etc. is unreal, even higher than the banking industry norm. The sales and marketing is very good, the bank spends a lot of money in that area. Some business decisions are made fast, but others are very very slow. The computer system is ok, better than other banks in terms of ease to use.

    Resign. Quit. Merge with another bank that cares about their employees.
