New York, NY

Current Employee – been working at Regus full-time for less than a year

ProsIt pretty clear Regus' staff in CA is very happy. I think I know why.

ConsThis company is a joke. NYC is its largest market and largest revenue producer and it has no effective leadership. It is like a carnival. They consistently issue directives that are contradictory and usually a monumental waste of time, and they treat their staff like drones.
There is no employee advocate if you work for these people. They train their managers to feed you the company line when you have an issue or challenge their policies and they are dismissive of any genuine concerns (they apparently know it all).
One manager in partcular is not only mean and aggressive, but has absolutely created a hostile work environment. We should be happy to employed by Regus!!! (REALLY???) I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. They are highly inconsiderate of the staff, their needs, or the workload.
Speaking of inconsiderate, you should know how poorly the clients are treated. They are consistently overcharged for services and have to deal with an off-shore billing customer service department who makes everything impossibly complicated. The collections department is quick to turn off services and begin eviction procedures even when the client is in good standing and they (Regus and their ineffective management) are the reason for the mix up to begin with.
Management is non-responsive to most concerns and are quick to point a finger when an issue arises. If you are a client and want anything from management just put it out in social media and they will give you anything you want. No matter how unreasonable or demeaning it may be to the staff. If you are staff you will never get anything from management unless you have to involve an attorney.
The good news? Well lets just say there's always McD's.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe failure in the NYC market makes it obvious that there is no effective leader there. No one will buy into what you put out if the manager is not a leader.

Good luck.

Pros4 floater holidays a year; plus good pto but it is very hard to use it up and you lose it after the Christmas holiday. You get to interact with some great clients who do not work for Regus!

ConsYou get pushed to work for numbers; it is like a game of Bait & Switch! Get the client(s) in house and drain them of all their funds, squeeze them for every penny you can! There are "some" great people working for Regus but sadly they don't stay! Regus will sell to a homeless person and then threaten their life to get them to pay (even when the upper management knows going into the agreement that the person is going to default they will still sell it just to make the numbers for that month)! It is truly a very ugly game that Regus is playing and someday; sometime this too will all catch up with them! I am only here because of my in-house clients. The billing department at Regus is the worse ever; they will put anything possible on an invoice over and over again just to get the money. What is even worse is when Regus gets your credit card number they are constantly charging anything and everything to your card. The Regus billing then leaves it up to the center to fight to get the money back for client and then they turn around and do it again the following month! **warning** Do not give Regus your credit card number and mail all your payments to the center you are doing business with! Watch your nickles and dimes because Regus is after it all!! With Regus management they are unrelenting in controlling your every move! Keep copies of every email you send & receive because you will need them to back you up when corporate decides to screw with you (that is both clients & employees)!

Advice to Senior ManagementRespect your personnel; treat people the way you would like to be treated!

ConsFlexible work hours not an option

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep Center morale high by acknowledging center staff for jobs well done. Flex-time an option when possible.

ProsGet a lot of PTO and recognized holidays. Pays well, good benefits. It's a growing company so there are lots of opportunities to move around within the company.

ConsCorporate does not care about the clients. They try to screw them over for all they're worth and they don't care because they never come in contact with them directly. As a GM you are the barer of bad news. Corporate makes you aim for 18% increases every year (or more frequently for shorter terms). They also sneak things into the fine print of contracts and are not forthright. You have to constantly battle corporate in order to feel like you are doing the right thing and not misleading the client/prospect. They nickel and dime like crazy. Also, the fine print in the employment contract states that when you quit you forfeit your last quarterly bonus even if you have worked well into the following quarter and exceeded your target!

Advice to Senior ManagementCARE about your clients. They are fueling your company. Just because you get away with screwing them over for more $$ sometimes doesn't mean it will work forever. Word will get out. If you simply try to be genuine and forthright and provide a good honest service you won't have to trick people into buying it.

Mountain View, CA

Current Employee – been working at Regus full-time for more than a year

ProsSpeaking firsthand, I can say that Regus in Silicon Valley is a great company to work for. The area team is incredible - I enjoy spending time with all of them, and we continue to exceed the bar and set new benchmarks for the company as a region on a regular basis. There is plenty of opportunity for continued professional growth and support when you work hard. Our facilities are nice, the working environment is enjoyable, you get to meet incredible clients in several different industries, and help their business develop. I have found my time as a Regus employee to be extremely rewarding and am looking forward to the future.

ConsIf you are looking for a slow-paced, desk job - this might not be the right place for you. Several opportunities within Regus are challenging and things change quickly. Time flies because you remain steadily busy all day. You have to be able to prioritize and focus when it counts. I love this part of my job, but can understand that other may not find it fulfilling.

Advice to Senior ManagementOpen more locations! We are currently at 11 business centers, and it's time to help our clients and open more in the area! (Luckily, I know the company is looking to grow, so I am sure this will come to be the case shortly!)

Current Employee – been working at Regus full-time

ProsIt is a large company so they have methods and standards for everything. If you have a problem to solve there is always people (managers, sales, operations, IT etc) to help. You get to be in a busy work environment interacting with many business types, lawyers, start-ups, IT, foreign companies- It is an entertaining mix.

ConsThere is not a lot of room for advancement if you do not want to go into sales. Also such a large corporate structure means there are a lot of rules. A major con:A single person can not afford their own apartment on this salary in a 45 min driving radius. They have not given significant raises in the past years ( for example: $0.11 cents/hr )

Advice to Senior ManagementFor the job we do at the front desk, everything from reception, dealing with clients, billing, IT support- we should get much better compensation. Tech Start-ups in this area offer $10/hr more. If they could just raise their pay structure and pay employees a living wage they would be able to keep the good ones and attract better talent.

Redwood City, CA

Current Employee – been working at Regus full-time for more than 8 years

ProsI've worked for the company for 9 years and constantly been asked to take on more new and exciting challenges. I've always been thanked and rewarded for my hard work and been given the support from our leadership team that I've needed. Regus invests a good amount of time into training and developing our people. I appreciate how innovative our Senior leaders are as well, as they're constantly rolling out new initiatives and products. This is truly a great company to work for.

ConsIn the past we had a few centers where on our busiest days the Internet speed was a bit slower than we wanted, but in the last year our Bay Area centers have all been upgraded so Internet is fast and reliable. Regus recognized a need for improvement and spent the money to make our service better than other outsourced office providers.

Current Employee – been working at Regus full-time for less than a year

ProsNo day is the same- after several years in a sales role out in the field - I yearned to expand my horizons in operations - this role is ideal for me as I get a great blend of sales and operations daily- I also have a team to manage- you get the experience of being a business owner - P&L's, budgets, customer service, etc. Its a very demanding position as you are pulled in a variety of directions daily, that you have to be in the ON MODE all day, but very fulfilling. without being too corny, its a very rewarding position - I can say that after a brief district sales position with another fortune 500 payroll company, I couldn't have made a better decision to come on board with Regus.

ConsAlthough when I started the length of training was short (one week with a tenured CM and then put into my own center) , they have since revamped that portion of the on boarding experience for all new GM's, ASM's so that they spend a weeks within other centers with GM's to get a more well rounded training experience -

Advice to Senior Managementtry to get our software programs more streamlined..
