Former Employee – worked at Regus
Pros – The company as a whole is great to work for. They provide training for the management teams and allow for opportunity to grow to a certain level. the product is great and offers a lot of flexibility to clients that are in the market. It offers a pretty easy sell due to the level of service they can provide.
Cons – They don't compensate the way they should. They spend so much money on opening new locations and renovating old ones, which is great for clients BUT the employees are stuck with a lower than average salary, no yearly increase to look forward to, a HUGE cute in commissions and a lack in overall structure. Not to mention that the management above is so stuck in their ways that they don't see the problems that are occurring below them. They are only concerned about how they look to upper management and how much money we can make for the company. There are a ton of unhappy employees in this market and no one seems to care.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay better, bring back annual raises, stop screwing around with the commission structure and cutting us down, so that YOU can open a new location. Listen to your employees. The team on site are the ones that allow you and I to have a business and job!

Current Employee – been working at Regus
Pros – I gained a lot of valuable skills for my future career.
The coworkers are really nice, and many of the clients are as well.
Cons – Zero training when I started with the company.
My bosses were uncommunicative, anxious, controlling and took credit for my work.

Pros – Fast paced company, company is growing even when economy is suffering. Regus values its employees. Regus promotes from within and works at developing the team members.
Cons – You have to be highly organized, and can multi task. Regus prides itself on Customer Service and does not have any tolerance for an employee that doesn't treat our clients like gold.

Former Employee – worked at Regus
Pros – Good people, large company with great benefits, opportunities for growth. The best thing about the company is definitely some of the talent that they bring in, and in Chicago some very caring management.
Cons – At times, better and more consistent communication within such a large organization becomes very critical, both from the top of the organization downward, and vice versa.

Pros – Great colleagues, smart industry for the time.
Cons – Management that is never satisfied, they manage through fear and intimidation at every level.
Advice to Senior Management – Trust your instincts, put policies in place for longer then three or six months, most the times they are working.

Current Employee – been working at Regus
Pros – Fast paced company that pushes you to the limit of your capabilities as an employee. Mid Level leadership is excellent and are some of the most talented and intelligent people I have ever worked amongst.
Cons – Lack of communication amongst Senior Exec Leadership. Everyone seems to have their own agenda and not aligned to a true global collaboration or objective. This leads to constant changes, make it very difficult to keep up with the next big product, process or push.

Former Employee – worked at Regus
Pros – Good benefits and I enjoyed most of our clientele.
Cons – Upper job performance. I just had my review 2 weeks prior and everything was satisfactory. Then they tried to object to my unemployment. When they realized I wasn't backing down, they finally let it go.

Current Employee – been working at Regus
Pros – The horizontal line of co-workers is amazing. Lots of good people. Provided with necessary tools to get the job done.
Cons – Vertical management is awful. They believe that the more they can wring out of you the better. Nothing is ever enough. If you give them 100 they want 110 if you give them 110 they want 120 and on and on. You can never reach the goal. They literally walk around behind you and around you with an invisible whip to keep you in line. Every month they change the commission structure so that you earn less and then they change it back so you can get hopes up because they're paying a little more and then they change it back so you earn less. Never ending merry-go-round. The cubicles are round so you all face into the circle and have 6 people (some 5), so you are in very close quarters (do not apply if you are claustrophobic). If you talk to your co-worker even just for a minute and it's not work related, management (sits at desks on the floor next to us) will immediately tell you stop talking get back to work and they mean it. Reminds me of what jailtime is according to the movies).
Advice to Senior Management – Stop being interested only in yourselves and your self preservation. Speak up for us make us a team it's not all about numbers and constantly adding 10% more to the goal until there is nothing left to extract from us. Make the top guys know that we are human. Common complaint among us employees is that you guys think we are robots. When I interviewed at another company for a sales position they told me I had to make 3 or 4 calls a day. Regus wants 110 calls a day every day, day in and day out and in the Virtual Office team they want 60 calls a day. Well it's possible as long as you aren't trying to make any sales. Because once you are speaking with a potential customer and want to close the sale it takes longer than 8 minutes. You guys speak out of both sides of your mouth, you say sales, sales, sales, and then on the other hand you say 110 calls, calls, calls. Then you want all the record keeping and sales paper-work drawn up. It's just ridiculous. I dare any one in managment to be able to do it consistently over a 6 month period. You would soon change your tune. If Mark Dixon was still running thei company the way it started we would be ok. But he has allowed a bunch of mediocre managers who do nothing but promise bigger and bigger numbers to abuse the actual producers....US!!! on the frontlines, the people who actually get the job done.

Pros – Regus is a good place to work especially if you need exp on your resume for admini work. It was a very stable enviornment. I really loved selling the extra ad on and ordering lunch catering for the exec offices.
Cons – Managment was a little clickish and not alway kind to some employees
Advice to Senior Management – Be kind to all employees even if they are older.

Pros – -Benefits are great!
-Team Members start accruing time off immediately, plus we get paid and floating holidays
-Endless opportunities to learn more
-Flexibility
-You never do the same routine daily!
I've been with Regus for 14 years and through that time I've had the opportunity to see many centers, work many different positions, attend to global conference (Orlando & Paris). I truly enjoy helping new hires expand their knowledge and assist with their careers. My clients are wonderful and I enjoy hearing them say we are here because of you and your team. I feel great each day knowing and feeling like I made a difference and accomplished something. Regus takes care of their employees.
Cons – -Cons for some would be too much change, but I think that is what keeps work interesting. Change is everywhere and 9 times out of 10 if a change comes that doesn't work it will change again.
-I would like to see more power given back to the centers. I don't have the same feeling of ownership I once had.
-Splitting sales and ops 18 months ago was not the best move for small cities.
- Running centers with 3 employees can be difficult during vacations etc…
-Sometimes the explanation of why we are doing something is not clear.
-Wish there were more opportunities locally.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your teams in the centers.
Corporate needs to work in centers more so that they can be reminded of how they operate prior to rolling our new initiatives.
I appreciate you and Thank you go a long way!
