PTA (Current Employee) Kansas City, MO

    Prosgood team in local areas

Consmedicare has created a downswing in pt census which reduces all skilled care center caseloads not just rehabcare

Advice to Senior Managementtake better care of employees over stockholders

    OT Okemos and Jackson

    OTR (Former Employee) Okemos, MI

ProsBenefits fairly good, really nice to you when they sign you on

ConsDon't treat therapists well, they hire cheap untrained techs to run the show, therapists are too hard at work to do this. Both places had poor support staff who created manipulative atmospheres and they chopped the therapists before investigating properly. Now both places still have their cheap laborers but have to use travel therapists because they have gone through all local and regional therapists. It doesn't have to be like this

Advice to Senior ManagementCEO and coo need to look at your regional, area and other managers, they don't have time or inclination to treat therapists with respect, rather they go on the manipulative words of the cheap untrained

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Where to begin? Promises made not delivered. Only heard from management when they had a problem, no positives ever.

COTA (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsSome Caring therapists that try their best to serve patients despite working conditions.

ConsVery poor management. Employees were last to get any thanks or bonuses if company doing well. Company used and abused by sending me all over as I strived to keep productivity high, often working off the clock while chasing down charts to do notes. Full time promised, never saw FT. Terrible insurance benefits. Management poor while caving to complaints from grumpy rich people that prefer only one therapist. I was thrown under the bus by long standing employees and inefficient management that was poorly trained. No comradery with home therapists, only out for themselves.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive raises once in awhile, show appreciation, perhaps incentives for good work.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

They don't try to retain their staff employees.

Occupational Therapist (Current Employee) Phila, PA

ProsCEU reimbursement is reasonable. Paid time off benefits are reasonable.

ConsThere is a lot of pressure to maximize productivity so that the company can make money, but the therapists who generate their revenue do not get raises.

Advice to Senior ManagementDemonstrate appreciation for and loyalty to your longtime staff employees to try to retain them. Contractors to our company make more money and get treated as well or better - they at least get to work 8 hours a day when the caseload is low.

The bottom line is what counts.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe building and grounds makes coming to work enjoyable.

ConsOverhead goes to documentation and billing, not equipment for safety or service.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't stretch your employees so thin that they are unable to deliver the service they are trained and want to offer.

    I was treated extremely poorly.

    COTA (Former Employee) Greensboro, NC

ProsIf I had any Pros, I would list them, but sorry, I don't. Why? This company is about productivity and far, far, far from patient care.

ConsI was terminated from my position in Greensboro, NC SNF facility after working 3 weeks due to low productivity.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be a leach and feed on us for your own gain.

    More of the same

Physical Therapist (Current Employee) East Saint Louis, IL

ProsFlexible schedule and co-workers are good people ..and it's a job there is not much nice to say about my current site. However not ever contract is as bad

Consbenefits are awful, if you have a family you will not want their insurance it is that bad

Advice to Senior ManagementMore like advice to corporate they really need to revamp their policies and stop giving financial incentive to program directors and regional. This seems to be increasing motivation for fraudulent activity. Life Care recently has been in the news for elevating RUG levels well it won't be long before we hear of more cases like that these rural homes think they don't have to play by the rules. In the mean time everyone gets therapy like it or not! Ethical NOPE what is best for patients NOPE but we all need a job

    working at Rehab Care

    Marketing Representative (Former Employee)

ProsGreat benefits and strong industry presence

ConsPoor organizational structure, not very ethical in business dealings with employees, poor training, and if considering a job with this company make sure you ask a lot of specific questions about your direct job functions, why others have left the role, and find a mentor that is trustworthy.

Advice to Senior ManagementPractice what you preach, seriously

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
