Advice to Senior Management
build up a long-term management way and put individual's motivation as your focus
Pros
Stable not hard job. Stable but slow salary and career growth. Easy to combine with personal life and interests. No stress.
Cons
Difficult to change the way things are done, many barriers. Slow salary and career growth. Very huge intermediate management. A lot of people to think, few people to do. Underpaid in comparison with other CAC 40.
Advice to Senior Management
Many intermediate managers to think, few operational managers to do. No discipline in management, everybody do what he wants. No clear product or operational strategy.
Pros
Good potential with electric vehicles. Aggressive strategy. Very professional.
Cons
Very French and not really international.
Advice to Senior Management
Build up your network.
Pros
With Renault comes:
1. 100 years of proven brand-name
2. Tremendously strong foundations of Automotive Industry
3. Edge in competitiveness
4. Very high standards towards Quality
5. Highly standardized approach for Vehicle Development
Cons
1. Renault is bit conservative outside its home country that is France
2. Renault is resistant in adopting English as global working language - French in must
3. Very less employee empowerment
Advice to Senior Management
1. Adopt English as global business language - Complete globalization cannot be achieved with French only
2. Renault must realize that India is not just an emerging market where every foreign automaker can sell their age old cars to make profits. Rather its an emerging automobile industry as a whole with very promising future in design and manufacturing too.
Pros
You are surrounded by passionate people. You can change your job every 3 years and discover new fields. You can work on some of the most exciting projects in the automotive sector right now: Electric vehicle and Low-cost products.
Cons
Human resources management is known to be very weak. Dont expect your bonus and salary to match your performance. The last year I worked for Renault, my performance level was ranked as "outstanding" (2% of the employees get this rating) and my salary increase was 3% (below the average level of the company).
Advice to Senior Management
The human resources department still reflects Renault's past as a state owned company. Now is the time to reform it. Its poor performance is a major weakness for the company.
