    Advice to Management

wake up your ideas . the company needs a big shake up in terms of financial and operations. just trying to produce more without any end customer is a bad idea.

    Pros

I was able to learn essential skills with software tools I will use throughout my career and can expect very hands-on experience.

    Cons

Poor leadership, lack of accountability and no clear long-term vision. Compensation and benefits needs improvement. 24/7 stand-by is part of the job expectation.

    Pros

Some very nice colleagues. When you suffer together, you become closer together.

    Cons

    - Revolving door of management and staff. There's constant reorg and it's usual to get a different boss every few months. DON'T give up a stable job to work here, especially if you are management level. - Lack of strategic direction. The only emphasis is cost cutting. There's lots of stress about making more revenue, the strong competition from China and the challenges the industry faces. But very little idea on how to actually make more money. - Poor welfare. This is the only company I have ever worked for that doesn't give half day leave for Christmas, New Year AND Chinese New Year. Staff who leave are not replaced, so almost everyone is expected to do the job of 2 or 3 other persons. HR and management really expects to squeeze every drop of blood out of you. - Lots of politics, thanks to instability in management level. You are busy enough doing the work of 2-3 persons, but you still have to deal with stress from non-stop infighting, The management does nothing to help, or set rules. They are too busy saving their own skin. - No promotional prospects. Because these guys have no idea how to make money, they also don't have money to promote you and pay for more labour costs.

    Advice to Management

Just sell the company already. Hopefully, the whole bunch of you will be replaced by people who actually know how to run a company properly.

    Pros

Had great fun working with my team mates; shuttle bus service to-and-from work

    Cons

Too much ambiguity in work; management under estimates the time, resources and support necessary to accomplish a task; management wants to do too many things at any one time, using various different methodologies

    Advice to Management

Weed out under performing employees; have a single target in mind, focus, and use the least number of methodologies necessary to achieve it; listen to the grouses and feedback of employees.
