I have been working at Research to Practice full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Company's overarching goal is to educate those taking care of patients with cancer... Could not be a stronger or more noble mission.
    - Everyone's roles are different, which leads to frequent interaction with multiple departments and an enhanced understanding of all aspects of the business
    - Exceptional coworkers are always willing to assist, teach and advise as much as possible
    - Senior management is involved and hands-on while still enabling employees to think through projects and issues themselves, thus providing a unique learning experience for all
     - Salary and benefits are definitely fair and competitive and employees given the opportunity to take own initiative and work towards increases

    Cons

    - As everyone's role is a little different, employees must be able to manage their own time and prioritize assignments accordingly, which can be challenging at times
    - Executives are very hands-on and involved, which shows their passion for and dedication to the work, placing a strong responsibility on employees to work diligently and produce top-notch results

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

"RTP" is full of talented and dedicated employees who enjoy coming to work every day. Continue to challenge and guide them through their ongoing professional development while enabling them to spearhead their own projects whenever possible in an effort to showcase the drive and dedication that got them to where they are.

Need to be able to work in a fast-pace environment with competing priorities and produce quality work under pressure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to cultivate existing company talent and find ways to cross-train personnel in related areas. Keep up the great work and strive to expand concept to other arena of medical education.

    Miserable place to Work.

    Pros

Company has ok benefits, and great coworkers. That is about it. But what is the point if you can't go see doctors because you are always working.

    Cons

    - Very micromanaged
    - There is no trust with employees at all
    - Hours of work are "All the time"
    - Most workers are dissatisfied and seek employment elsewhere
    - Employee turnaround is over %50.
    - CEO is unreachable, do not dare to try to speak with him or even great him, you will be ignored.
    - Management gets all the perks, employees, zero.
    - Conflict of interest by hiring family members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to basics. Communicate with staff not only management as most of them seem to filter out the things they do not want you to hear. Stop the micromanagement and trust your employees. Give them room to breathe and they will deliver. Build on respect, trust and employee loyalty. Be reminded that it is those hard laborers that continue to drive the machine which pays for your cars, and luxuries.

I worked at Research to Practice

    Pros

    Descent benefits
    Location
    Offices were recently remodeled
Best co-workers (quality staff that run the day to day operations)

    Cons

    Worst management team ever
    Zero work recognition
    Long Hours +weekends
Toxic environment. 90%+ of employees are disgruntled and ready to quit
50% or more total employee turnover
    Micromanaging style management
Performance reviews are always delayed and poorly written
Lowest moral ever experienced among employees
Conflict of interests with VP and CEO hiring family members to run the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its a shame that a company of this caliber neglects the driving force of the operations (the quality staff team). Look closer and revitalize your workforce before they all leave. Well, it is not secret that with over 50% total turnover that you may already know what is going on... and just pretend that nothing is going on.

I have been working at Research to Practice full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers, decent benefits, good location

    Cons

    - CEO walks around with a God complex
    - CEO/managers are extremely condescending, do not give credit when credit is due, and are quick to throw others under the bus to cover up his/her incompetence and/or lack of awareness on the issue
    - Company atmosphere is one big blame game
    - No trust between CEO/managers and employees = all office communication is through email = 100 plus daily emails = an inefficient use of time during the work day = weekend work
    - Not structured to allow for growth; only pile on more work (plus hours) and call it a "promotion"
    - Set insanely high expectations, and when met, are often followed by unappreciative or no feedback

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop and appreciate your employees who work hard (with below average compensation at best) to help maintain your comfortable lifestyle.
